Old school charm

Friendly people, cool restaurant, great food. I love taking people to this place, great bbq and steaks. Can't wait for it to reopen.

Had the hopes of this being a great place for a nice "date night" Though the food tasted good, it really wasn't anything special to justify the over inflated price tag. The service was "on-par" with any other restaurant. The dining area itself was nicely decorated, but again....nothing special to support its price.

Food is solid, old school "Steak and Ale" environment that is reasonable and a nice alternative for business travelers looking for a friendly place to belly up to the bar, order a good meal, and get some good conversation. If you MUST have a slick modern restaurant (like there are more than one or two in Bentonville) than this place... More

Want some delicacies? The food is outstanding and prices are very good. Can't wait to return. Entertaining wall décor. The setting is so homey, woodsey, and relaxing. Our small group of friends gathered and had an exciting time here. Service is great.

This is a brief update that Freds still remains closed. I hope to see them open soon. As of Jan 1 2015 they are still working on it. The steaks and BBQ are great, side dishes always tasty and warm friendly service.

Fred's is a treasure, a local institution. Always a genuine greeting at the door, all the menu is good, service very good, servers are attentive and personable. A recent fire in the attic above the kitchen has closed the restaurant for repairs. Hopefully it will be repaired and ready for the holiday season very soon.

I was disappointed in my recent meal at Fred's. It started with a salad that was mostly iceberg lettuce with two thin tomato slices. Most of the dressings were creamy and the waitress told me she would attempt to find a vinaigrette for me, as if this was a favor. I ordered the ribs which came with a baked potato.... More

A friend suggested Fred's & are we glad! Clay was our server...nice young man & attentive. My husband had the KS strip & I the ribeye. Both cooked perfectly per request. We ordered extra mushrooms...they were delish! Just be ready for the iceberg & tomato dinner salad...hadn't seen one of those in a while! Neat atmosphere, relaxing, great location.

You can't really even see it from the road. But it's like discovering a hideway when you pull up. I think they said they've been there 47 years. My wife got a filet that you could cut with a fork. I had smoked ribeye, they say's it's their version of prime rib. They have a super cheesecake for desert.

The hostess tonight tall blonde, had to be one of the worst ever. Rude with attitude. Fortunately there was a waiter that took charge of the situation and made things right. The waitress started off well but then we didn't see her for at least 25 min. What the heck break time while you have a table. Weird. The food... More
