Penny's Diner was just a few blocks from my motel so I walked over for breakfast. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Great atmosphere and good food.

Waitress had an attitude. ..malts had the consistency of chocolate milk...Philly cheese steak had more green peppers than meat or cheese. Friends had hot beef sandwich and said the meat was a processed beef. ..see no reason to ever go back

Great place for a breakfast or quick lunch or dinner. Even when crowded the service remains great. Food is cooked to order and you can watch if you have counter seating. A nice 50's setting where you can relax and enjoy your meal. The railroad workers frequent the place so you know its gotta be good. Open 24 hours.

Yes we did sit at the counter. The grill was right in front of us where they do all the cooking. Both line cooks handle raw and cooked food with bare hands. No tongs/spatulas were used unless getting hot food off the grill. All the while they are touching everything else!!!! The one line cook was too busy talking with... More

This is a beautiful and colorful diner with 50's flair. First rate. The offerings are pretty standard. The cooks are in front of you so you can see your food being cooked. The only problem is that they cook with trans-fat. The eggs are cooked properly and so are the hash browns. My only complaint is cooking with those unhealthy... More

We ordered burgers and the cook came out to make sure he prepared our burgers the way we like them. It is a quaint little diner, as diners used to be.

We stopped at Penny's on our way to San Diego and it was a great little diner. The main cook is a guy named Martin and he amazing. The night we were there they were very busy and he apologized because he hadn't "put enough love" in food he prepared for us. On our way back to Phoenix, we stopped... More

The food was great and the waitress was wonderful. Very nostalgic! If you like a big greasy burger this is the place! We love it!

Bustling, clanking, fast paced 1950s Diner. With all the crowd eating, they manage to move fast, cook great diner food, and still be nice to customers. Its clean and organized. My breakfast was eggs, biscuits, and gravy with a coffee. It's a small diner with inside and outdoor seating. I have never seen anyone eat outside. Located near some hotels... More
