Biggest Burrito EVER

True Mexican food, not TacoBell! Huge burritos and great chips and salsa tells me to come back the next time I am in Yuma. Family night our for 4 adults and 1 child came to $80 including beers for the grown ups. Took home 1/2 of the burritos for lunch the next day. Good value, good service, and... read more

We eat here at least once a month. The service is great and the meals are huge. Always a crowd. Their lunch special is an excellent value.

It was not the best Mexican food but the price was good and so was the service. We went for dinner and they were quite busy.

When you read the menu, you will want to order one of everything. Doesn't matter what you order you are going to love the half you eat, and love the other half you cannot finish for another meal later. Your food is wheeled out from the kitchen on a cart. They really pile it on your plate. Will be back... More

Great food and large portions. Impossible to eat everything so ask for a carry out box when you are finished eating.

If you are visiting Yuma, Arizona and are hungry for Mexican food, do yourself a favor and visit El Charro. Start your meal with their cheese crisp, made with jack cheese. It is bubbly hot and superb as an appetizer. They have wonderful folded and rolled tacos. But, my favorite is their green chile mixed burrito with a saddle. The... More

We have eaten in a lot of Mexican restaurants and can say with assurance, this was top of the line food. It was prepared in kitchen (not coming out of a bag) and was tasty and marvelous. You have to like the dripping with oil character of fried items like the chips, but they were so crispy and delicious. We... More

Although the restaurant is dated and tired in appearance, the food is excellent in quantity and quality! My wife had the chicken and steak fajitas, I had the Sonoran tacos, both were excellent! The cost was less than $35 for the meal and 2 beers. El Charo is a favorite of the locals.

Very friendly staff. I went with the fish tacos. I was impressed with the food and the staff. This restaurant has a lot of history since 1949.
