Mexican food. Local and authentic.

They been in business since, I believe, 1949. Their recipes have been passed down through the generations, but still pleases the palate. A good place to take friends and family.

Very friendly staff. I went with the fish tacos. I was impressed with the food and the staff. This restaurant has a lot of history since 1949.

Good food at decent prices on a Sunday when all Mexican restaurants in Yuma are closed. We've been there many times and it never disappoints. It is a local favorite.

When you go in the door of a restaurant at 4:00 in the afternoon and it is full, that tells you that the food must be good. IT IS! The service is great, the food is fantastic and the other people seem to enjoy themselves. This restaurant has a full menu and quick service to the table, something travelers need.... More

This is a good place to eat. Authentic Mexican. The cheese crisp is a must order. Margaritas were big and very good. 4 types of salsa all are good. Very friendly staff with great service. We will all be back!

We enjoyed the Mexican atmosphere of the restaurant but felt it was extremely noisy. We really liked the salsa with all the various peppers. It had such a unique flavor. Because it was our first visit, we took the waitress suggestion on what to order. She suggested the "saddle". This is a large flour tortilla filled with a green meat... More

We read the rave reviews and were anxious to give this place a try on a trip to Yuma. The staff was very friendly, but it went downhill from there. The first chips delivered to the table looked like the bottom of the bag. We were given another basket when the waitress also noticed that we had dime size pieces.... More

El Charro has been serving Yumas since 1943. My wife and I both like it(she was born and raised in Yuma). The beans are service the "old" fashion way with lard, hmmm they taste great but be carefull as you can hear your arteries hardening :) Prices are fair as is the quanity and quality of food. I don't care... More

Based upon the Trip Advisor reviews below (especially Alonzo), we decided to stop here for take out since we were traveling with our dog Luke. I walked in at 3, ordered, and before a coke was completed had our order to eat in the car! Welcoming service, great recommendations (rolled and folded tacos, chips, salsa and chorros. Much to much... More

We were driving from San Diego to Phoenix and decided to stop in Yuma for dinner. We wanted something local and I found this restaurant on Tripadvisor. We are so glad we stopped. VERY friendly and many locals were eating or getting take out orders. The margaritas were hand mixed and everything we ordered was delicious. Wish I lived closer... More
