We deliberated our Anniversary at the Turquoise Room. We had a window table overlooking the grass yard with croquet court, patios and BNSF rails. A beautiful monsoon came through as we were dining. Our server, Ebony was professional, thoughtful to each detail. She made us feel like special guests. We began our meal with an appetizer specialty of sweet tamale... More

We loved the food. Our server was responsible for eight tables, this included taking orders, fetching drinks from the bar, bussing all the tables, coming around to top off water/iced tea and serving the food. This is ridiculous and slowed the meal considerably. If they want to be first rate, treat the servers with respect and hire bussers and drink... More

The food was outstanding, but the building was even more so. It is in the splendidly restored La Posada Hotel, a fascinating piece of architecture by the Santa Fe Railway's great southwestern architect Mary Colter. Service was impeccable. It is certainly family-friendly, but kids younger than 8 or 9 might not really appreciate what they are having and where they... More

Several times each year I drive from Flagstaff, 52 miles each way, to enjoy this special food. Chef John Sharpe uses the freshest local ingredients to present his version of indigenous foods. I've never been disappointed, no matter what I've selected and neither have my friends. The setting is the restoration of the Harvey House dining room in modern comfort.... More

Well worth a trip to Winslow on Route 66. This James Beard restaurant serves gourmet fine dining, from organic vegetables, quality meat dishes to sumptuous desserts. Service by ladies in Harvey Girl aprons is impeccable.

The Turquoise Room is a foodie's delight. My wife and I stop here now whenever we come through Winslow. My only regret is not having a refrigerated "doggie bag" for leftovers. We also have enjoyed chatting with the wait staff, who are friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes. The small bar adjoining the restaurant has an amazing copper bar. If you... More

She had the vegetable dinner, cooked perfectly and beautifully presented. I had the carnitas, tender, perfectly cooked, fell apart using a fork, served in a pool of chile sauce with black beans. Excellent

While one would not expect a first class restaurant in Winslow--you would find it at The Turquoise Room at the La Posado Inn. The setting is attractive and the food is outstanding! We have been there several times (for breakfast and lunch) and have never been disappointed. The signature black bean/corn soup is addictive. The foods are unique with use... More
