Cruisin Route 66

On our trip to the Grand Canyon, we stayed in the town of Williams, Arizona. It is a charming little town with a very interesting down town and it is a place that prides itself on being the last place where Hwy 40 came in to "eliminate" Route 66. Primarily a hamburger joint, the meals here are... read more

A lovely Americana flavoured Barbeque joint that is surprisingly well run by their young employees. We had ribs and brisket which were well smoked and tender. Priced averagely compared to the rest of main meals that we had while staying in the US.

I'll start at the top. Lots of young staff, not a lot of work getting done. Lot of kids on phones. Decor is tacky touristy 50's. The food: My iced tea was little more than tinted water, virtually flavorless, cup 3/4 full of ice. We got the Arizona shoestring appetizer, bland. My pork was good, sauce tasted like Sweet Baby... The menu is over-priced, and the food was terrible! Other than that, didn't feel very clean. The waitress didn't ask how our food was, she asked how we were doing.... I wanted to leave when I saw the 1/2 barbecued chicken (looked steamed, with barbecue sauce ladled over the top). The sides were bad - beans tasted old, and the... More

We showed up fairly late one evening for dinner after a day at the Grand Canyon. Ashley, our server, was delightful. The music was fun, service great and the food was good for diner/burger joint. We will try again next trip to Arizona.

The atmosphere was great! The food was not what we expected, wanted some good burgers and fries but it wasn't that good.

We ate dinner here because it smelled so good. They had a big grill outside that was smoking and you could smell it all over town. The place has more Route 66 stuff that you will find anywhere. Lots of 60's and 70's things. We loved looking around. But we both ordered New York Strip Steaks, they were so fatty... More

We should have seen a red flag when we checked in and the hostess told us the servers were running way behind. It did not take long to be seated. It took FOREVER to get our salads. The steaks had to be sent back. We ordered the NY strip and it was tough (could hardly cut it). This has not... More

This place has the greatest ribs! The service was excellent and the 50's atmosphere made it a great place to eat and travel down memory lane!

Loved the decor in this restaurant but I thought the food was just average. My husband and I split a burger which was good but I wouldn't say oh I have to go there again.
