old route 66

Hey it is a old Route 66 steak house. It is what it is. I didn't like the sugar rub steak. Wife had a steak that was much better. Good service. It's dark but clean and just what you think it is when described as an old fashioned steak house.

We stopped here for dinner after riding the train to the Grand Canyon. The service was a bit slow. I ordered the sugar rub chargrilled steak which is the house special. I was dissapointed in the overall tastes. Others at my table were also commenting on the burt/over cooked taste of their steak. The bread us amazing that they serve... More

There were 5 of us in our group eager for a nice steak and try out some items in the menu. Well, the service was slow considering the place was not that busy. The steak was average and I suggest that y'all skip anything seafood. I will definitely not rush back to this place.

The place was full and lively when my family and I were there which seemed to follow with what I'd read. while the staff was friendly, the food was a swing and a miss. Their special steak is coated in sugar and yes, it does taste as weird as it sounds. The fried chicken was discarded half way through. The... More

The steaks here were amazing. Make sure you eat here as you will not be disappointed. We loved the food so much we went back the next night to find them closed. (Sunday) Gutted as we really wanted another steak from here. The service is very good and the staff are so friendly and helpful. We had already spotted Rod's... More

Rod's Steak House is a historical restaurant, established in 1946, on a historical road, Route 66. It's a typical American steak house and, much like most American steak houses, it serves very good meat. The dishes are listed on a peculiar steer-shaped menu, a nice idea. A children's meal is also available. Besides the good quality of the food, the... More

The food was ok, my niece and husband steaks were still alive. We asked for them to cook more, they still came back the same way. The service was terrible, our waiter hardly spoke English and never came around to our table except to deliver our meals and pick up our plates. I had to track him to get refill... More

We wanted to take our foreign visitors to a western steak house. This one was recommended to us. The food was good and the employees were friendly. It was pricey but a good place to eat.
