Good Food in a Cozy Setting

This Pub is so convenient for a nice hot meal when you stay at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel after a day on the train. You can also get take- out for your room. The menu is diverse and the food is very good. Last year there wasn't enough waitstaff when the place was full, but this year the... read more

Located in the Grand Canyon Railway & Hotel. We had the French onion soup & beef dip for dinner. Nicely prepared & tastie. Just what we needed on a cold February day. Had breakfast here the following day before heading on the train tour. Good alternative if you don't want the large buffet breakfast.

We had a cocktail and chips and salsa - the best salsa! The service was excellent and a good drink was poured. Would stop again if staying at hotel

Can you imagine waiting for 45 min to check in at a hotel? So you walk over to the bar to get a drink to calm down and get the kids a snack and you see another line with 1 person working!! This place is a night mare. I came on Dec 18-20 and very night, staff are unfriendly and... More

We ate dinner at Spenser's Bar one night and wished we had come here first. The bar is amazingly beautiful. The woodwork is simply fantastic. There were quite a few people in the bar for a Wednesday night. We ordered the Shepherd's pie and found it to be delicious! The service was friendly. We took our time to enjoy our... More

Spenser's Bar is part of the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel, which contrary to the comments of some reviewers is - I think - pastiche rather than a redevelopment of an original hotel. Somehow, however, the architects/designers managed to capture character for this bar, which has very helpful staff, a good selection of beer and wines, and a menu which looked... More

Nice atmosphere. Looks like a Railway Baron will walk thru the door. Attentive service. Even when the room was full your glass was never empty.

We were here for the Railway to the Grand Canyon. And a 60th birthday celebration. So we decided to check out Spenser's Bar. What a great place to hang out. Great staff, good drinks and appetizers. We were laughing and carrying on for quite some time. Also great coffee in the morning. John & LynNita Ellis
