You know when the food is good when the local Mexicans eat there. They have a take away also which is good if you are on your way through

We ate dinner here. Very casual. Good food. All locals but us. A local told us to go here. On the main drag, east bound Route 66, but about 3 blocks on the west end of town. Easy walk. Reasonable price, but beer was $4.50.

The 3 out of 5 rating is strictly for the friendly service. The following is my first negative review. One of 3 of us found a hair in a quesadilla. The tacos were dripping with grease. The refried beans tasted fishy and the beans and rice were highly salted. The enchiladas were flat and bland, covered in a screaming hot... More

It is a small diner, the staff are friendly and willing to explain their menu to tourists. They do not have a live band or fancy decor. What they do have is authentic Mexican food at a reasonable price without the Disney / carnival atmosphere of other restaurants.

Yes, I love tacos, as well as other Mexican food, but this place makes them really good. They don't fill them with a lot of lettuce and filler, but you get lots of the meat or pork or fish! Crunchy shells or soft shells. It will tak a while to go over their large selection of items. Servings are usually... More
