Busy means better!

It seemed to be the favorite spot for motor bikers, dune buggy riders, cowboys, golfers and ancient prospectors...and us, just ordinary folks! All the meals were well prepared and tasty...mostly comfort food...the salsa... More

This place can be either quiet or packed, depending on the tourist action. Its downtown location guarantees a lot of foot traffic, plus it is the only 'Mexican' place in the immediate area. On the Pro side, it is clean, well lighted, with a subdued Mexican ambiance in one room, and a lounge atmosphere in the other. There is ample... More

The service is a little slow (which can happen when restaurants are busy) but I never go to a restaurant when I am in a hurry so I can live with it. The chips and salsa hold me over but the salsa could use some zing, even the "Hot" salsa is pretty mild. I imagine they cater to the gringos... More

The food is geared to snow birds expectations of Mexican food but few if any local Mexicans go there for food as it is bland and not authentic.

Four of us went for a lunch time snack... not that hungry so we each ordered a shrimp taco (only one each). It took 40 minutes for them to get our lunch to us, and they served them two on a plate instead of a plate each with pico de gallo. We were totally confused as to whether we were... More

My family has to talk me into trying other places in town because I love Anita's so much! And this has to be 100 minimum characters so I wrote this sentence.

Ate here for the first time yesterday. Best chips and salsa I have had in a long time. The main course came and it was terrible. It is an insult to the Mexican people to call this Mexican food. Pretty sloppy and tasteless. If you are gonna eat here, stop after the chips and salsa and you will be fine.

This place is very popular with both locals and tourists. And it’s convenient to our hotel. So we tried it and were pleased with the choice. Service was great, despite the fact that there were large groups. The chips and salsa were fresh and spicy. My wife had a margarita – tasty and refreshing. We shared an order of fish... More

Three of us met there on what is one of their busiest weekends of the year, unknowlinlgly. Yet, our waitress was friendly and cheerful and very efficient. Our drinks and food were brought to us quickly and we all agreed were excellent. The prickly pear Margarita I had was very good. I will be telling friends and family about Anita's... More

My friend and I stopped by Anita's Cocina for a late lunch. We split an order of the Macho Nacho Supreme and it was excellent. The guacamole had been left off so the waitress brought us over a small bowl of it. The chips were very light and crispy and the salsa was just right. Very good food at Anita's!
