Both the restaurant and the adjacent saloon at the Grand Hotel in Grand Canyon, Arizona bring that old time southwestern sensibility to life with exposed timber, stone, ironwork and decor that's influenced by the area. The restaurant serves steaks, great barbeque dishes, Southwest-inspired foods and traditional western-themed fare.

We have enjoyed 3 meals at the Grand Hotel. Great bar menu! The breakfast buffet was good. Dinners can be rather costly if you want a steak, all over $30. I enjoyed the Pork T Bone at $22.95, served with your choice of potato and freshly sautéed vegetables. Nice atmosphere with some light western type music.

We put our name "on the list" when we did not have a reservation, despite seeing only about 1/3 or less of the tables occupied at about 7:30p.m. We were told we'd have a 30 minute wait which didn't seem right with what we were seeing, but we waited anyway. Then about 15 minutes later, after seeing 3 waiters and... More

Brutal -- Our family went to the Canyon Star restaurant for breakfast during spring break week. Since there were only 10 or so tables being used, we thought we would have timely service. After ordering and waiting about 40 minutes.... the waitress said our food would be right out. After waiting longer and longer I finally found the manager. The... More

We came in at 8.45pm with 6 people. 5 tables were occupied but still we were not allowed to take place because "there were only two waiters @ work! " What a joke😂. After all not too bad because reviews are not very positive...

We stayed a couple nights at the Grand Hotel. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. Both meal service had issues. Let's start with breakfast ... despite the dining room being mostly empty, the service was very disappointing. The attention to service was just not there. One person in our party had ordered steak and eggs for breakfast. Before... More

Only bad experience on our Grand Canyon Trip which will hopefully fad over time. After a long hike on the Bright Angle trail we were starving. We were staying at the Grand Hotel , so we took a quick shower and headed downstairs to the onsite restaurant

First, two positives: This is a very attractive western dining room décor with pleasant live music, which was an enticement as we entered. Big mistake. I know that this has been stated in previous reviews, but I still cannot believe that this joint has a policy of NOT seating diners in a room that is less than a quarter full... More

Our first thoughts on this restaurant were "uh oh" the restaurant was mostly empty but we were told there was at least a 30 min wait (just as other reviews described). We chose to sit and wait and they sat us within about 5 to 10 mins. The friendly server immediately brought us hot, warm, delicious bread, menus and took... More
