Reasonable starter...potato skins. Huge portion...easily shared by two. Rustic soup had not been heated and needed to go back. Half chicken was mostly bone, fries cold (from the freezer) Porterhouse steak was not a porterhouse it was a standard sirloin cut. It was very greasy and bordering on acceptable. Vegetables were moderate at best. The place was freezing cold with... More

We were hungry, it was late, and they were open. :). The food was okay... I ordered buffalo brisket, my husband a chicken sandwich. The ambiance is very nice, though!

The live music here is a nice touch, the portions are large, the pasta dish is bland, the meat dishes are OK but $100 for four mains and a glass of beer is a bit steep.

Wasn't expecting much but oh my was this simply awful. Folks that are staying in the Grand Canyon area are blatantly being ripped off. The server that brought water basically slammed the glasses and containers on the table. Ordered burgers thinking we'd be safe but no such luck. Tried to order them cooked medium and were told that they only... More

We are staying at The Grand Hotel in Tusayan, AZ, just outside Grand Canyon National Park. This morning, our only entire day at Grand Canyon we though we would speed things up by eating here at the hotel. NOT!! Our first clue to leave was when it took the server 15 minutes to take our order. There were only 10-12... More

We had a very different experience to many people, evidently. We were there in May and went to the Canyon Star for dinner. The staff were friendly (can't remember the older waitress' name but she was lovely). Drinks took a bit of time to arrive, but we read the reviews about the slow service so we were ready and happy... This is one of the cutest restaurants I've ever eaten in. Now they need to work on the food and the service. The food was just okay and very expensive. One server was so grouchy I wondered why he was working in an industry where he had to serve people. On a Saturday night at 6:30pm this place should have... More

I had read terrible reviews previously about this place. It's all true! After checking in at the hotel for one night we decided to try this place as it was so conveniently located and looked nice. The positives are only three: 1) Good location, if you are already staying at the hotel. 2) Nice atmosphere. 3) Good entertainment (the gentleman... More

Have eaten here twice now (shame on me). Once for dinner and once for breakfast. At breakfast the food was pretty good, but the service was incredibly slow. The pancakes were cold and chewy -- could barely cut them with a knife. The rest of the breakfast was tasty. Dinner service was much faster, but the potato skins were burnt... More
