Service started off well and were able to order the food arrived quickly. For the price food was nothing spectacular. Filet was good, wahoo was good but a little dry. Bread was slightly warmed and not fresh. They brought to water bottles for the table. Needed more but server nor other staff came... read more

Canyon Star is part of the Grand Hotel. It's a huge restaurant, but fitted out really nicely with a nice relaxed western vibe, must be quite something when full. A great selection of American food and drinks. There was a great banjo player for entertainment. But the highlight was what we thought were the best ribs we've ever had -... More

Tusayan is a great location for grand canyon. This restaurant was across street from where we were staying. There is bar and restaurant and huge variation in price. The restaurant is huge but very very quiet. The service at bar was good. Waitress was best part really. I don't think I will go back. The image of hotel and restaurant... More

I would NOT recommend this restaurant !!! 1-The poor inexperienced waitress did not know the menu and no colleague would help. 2-Their signature dish was burnt to a crisp and inedible. 3-EXPENSIVE for what you get I was rather embarrassed since I was with locals that suggested the restaurant !!

Ok we were very hungry, but really it was good!! We didn't stay at the Grand Hotel but in a motel in the area and they didn't serve breakfast, as we were hungry we were ready to pay more to enjoy good food. What was our surprise at the Canyon Star restaurant when our waiter said that breakfast is a... More

During our visit to Grand Canyon, we stayed in Tusayan. For dinner we went to the Canyon Star Steakhouse at the Grand Hotel. It´s a big modern restaurant, but kept in a "cosy" Country style" ambiance, with a "Banjo pickin cowboy" on stage. He was actually quiet good..!' The waiter was friendly and helpful, and the food was great. We... More

Food was ok. Service was strange I guess I will just say that. Some of the bus people made us feel a little uncomfortable in their conversation, not just the normal small talk or friendly talk. The food was ok and did the job but we enjoyed the Pizza and pasta and E's steakhouse more .

It was close we decided to try it. The menu is limited. I ordered a burger and it was ok. I was not ambitious enough to try the jambalaya! They served the wrong wine and gave my husband bad rye whisky. We had to send it back! I would avoid this place if you can!

The food was really good, the nightly entertainment fair. The décor is western and the space is huge. When we were there, the restaurant was never crowded.

We were so bummed about this place. It was in a very expensive hotel that we stayed in so we assumed the food would be good. The staff was pretty bad, nice enough, but very young and inexperienced. We ordered the Filet Mignon and it was burned. When you are paying $33+ for a steak you want it to be... More
