The Restaurant is the worst (and one of the more expensive) we've eaten in during our entire 2 week trip touring America. Brisket dry, probably microwaved - ribs little better. It's true - options are slim in Grand Canyon but try elsewhere for a decent dinner at a reasonable price.

The Canyon Star Restaurant and Saloon Read every bad review here and take it to heart. Outside of the novelty of the décor and the entertainment, a singing cowboy who makes Leon Redbone sound like he’s on speed, this was a horrible experience from beginning to end. The reviews here warned us. The bartender at the hotel bar to which... More

Canyon Star is attached to The Grand Hotel (reviewed under hotels). It is a huge dining room in a Western style with large pine beams, wooden furniture, and plenty of space between tables. We dined here twice, considering other options, but the food was very good and there was a good wine list and bar. In addition there was a... More

We decided to try the Canyon Star Restaurant at the Grand Hotel across from where we were staying even though the reviews are up and down. Luckily, we had an entirely pleasant experience here. It's a new hotel, clean and spacious, with a cute gift shop nearby that sells art and souvenirs. We weren't in a hurry and were able... More

Reasonable starter...potato skins. Huge portion...easily shared by two. Rustic soup had not been heated and needed to go back. Half chicken was mostly bone, fries cold (from the freezer) Porterhouse steak was not a porterhouse it was a standard sirloin cut. It was very greasy and bordering on acceptable. Vegetables were moderate at best. The place was freezing cold with... More

We were hungry, it was late, and they were open. :). The food was okay... I ordered buffalo brisket, my husband a chicken sandwich. The ambiance is very nice, though!

The live music here is a nice touch, the portions are large, the pasta dish is bland, the meat dishes are OK but $100 for four mains and a glass of beer is a bit steep.

Wasn't expecting much but oh my was this simply awful. Folks that are staying in the Grand Canyon area are blatantly being ripped off. The server that brought water basically slammed the glasses and containers on the table. Ordered burgers thinking we'd be safe but no such luck. Tried to order them cooked medium and were told that they only... More

We are staying at The Grand Hotel in Tusayan, AZ, just outside Grand Canyon National Park. This morning, our only entire day at Grand Canyon we though we would speed things up by eating here at the hotel. NOT!! Our first clue to leave was when it took the server 15 minutes to take our order. There were only 10-12... More
