Stooped in during an overnight visit to the Grand Canyon. Arrived at 7:05PM. Asked the host about a server 7 minutes later. 10 minutes to water and menus. Another ten to a glass of wine and ordering. Received our meal (a steak and a salad) 1 hour and 10 minutes after arrival. The restaurant was about 25% full on a... More

We came to this place and saw a lot of open tables. There were 34 tables with 18 were empty!!!? They told us we had to wait. We went into the bar. No one ever came to the table. What a waste of time. And we are still hungry.

After a long morning and afternoon, we stopped at Canyon Star Steakhouse for a late lunch. It was not busy and the service was good. What really surprised us was how good the pizza was. The best I've had in quite a while. Meals were a bit expensive, but that is expected in a hotel restaurant.

We ate two breakfasts and one dinner here. The service for breakfast is really, really slow. The first breakfast, we were the only people in the restaurant and it still took nearly 30 minutes for simple food. The next day, the service was far worse. The food took nearly 45 minutes and was cold. I had a reservation for dinner,... More

We went to the Canyon Star for dinner. When we arrived we saw that the dining room was half empty but we were told it would be a 30 minute wait for a table. We asked if we could eat in the bar and we were told we could but we couldn't order steaks there. We ordered hamburgers and pizza.... More

The Canyon Star Steakhouse within the Canyon Star hotel, serves good value food and the staff were pleasant and welcoming. Nice bar area to sit and wait for a table in the dining room.

I came here with my family. Arrived around 8pm and there was at least 18 tables open (no exaggeration) and we were told we had to wait at least 15 minutes. Apparently they "stagger" tables for better service. We asked if we could just have a drink and wait 15 minutes to order our food and they told us no.... More

We were told by a different hotel that the food here was pretty good. So, on Sunday evening we headed over for dinner. When we arrived we were told that it would be at least a 25 minute wait to be seated. I looked around and said, "seriously?" The restaurant was barely 1/2 full with three staff standing at the... We stayed at the Grand Hotel over this weekend and although the hotel is very nice, both the saloon and dining room food overall was a big disappointment. We had a very nice dinner in the dining room the first evening. We had stopped in the saloon for a drink and appetizers and were quite disappointed. The artichoke dip was... More
