Read some mixed reviews about this place, but it was nothing short of excellent in every respect. We had a chicken and shrimp (tiger prawns as we know them in the UK) served on a sizzling platter with onions, peppers etc. Our plates arrived with rice, beans (more of a bean purée), a little salad plus guacamole and cream cheese.... The service was great, the tequila was yummy, and the meal was the best Mexican food I ever ate (and I live near Mexican Village in Detroit, and have eaten in some FINE Mexican restaurants in the past!)

Arrived in town , spent a few hours exploring the canyon rim (saving the exertion for tomorrow), and needed to find some food before the three time zones caught up with us. Plaza Bonita was close by, and well-reviewed, so we gave it a try. After a fifteen minute wait, at 8 pm on a holiday Sunday evening, we were... More

Reasonable Mexican food at an only slight elevated tourist price. The upsold +$1 Margarita was large, completely full of ice with barely room for sweet n sour and none for tequila. Staff was eager and nice. But a few mistakes delayed chow for hungry end-of-the-day 5-yr-olds. Dangerous. So, not good, not bad. A firm stance in mediocrity.

Just had to check this out becauses Red Feather Lodge entitled me to a 10% discount and because the name reminded me of Casa Bonita. Dinner was pretty good but expensive. The breakfast buffet was also quite good and reasonably priced. The service was pretty atrocious though, one waiter in particular that I had the misfortune of having 2/3 times... More

The food was great. My wife and I had the shredded beef chimichanga. It came to the table nice and hot and was served with black beans, rice and guacamole and sour cream. It was very tasty. Our kids had a taco and quesadilla off the children's menu. Complimentary chips and salsa too. The margueritas were strong, and about $9... More

Heard good reviews so thought we would give it a try....so glad we did!!! Very friendly staff and delicious complimentary chips and salsa as a starter and we had 2 servings! It seemed as if the salsa was homemade, we were hoping to buy some to bring home! Portions were huge and prices extremely reasonable. We cannot wait to return!

We popped in for dinner. We walked there from our hotel. Seated within minutes. The food is cheap and good value.

Huge portions of decent Mexican food that we ate for 3 more meals. Generous portions of good salsa and chips. Guacamole a bit under flavored. Service is professional. Recommended: the margarita! Enjoy!
