Food was nice but we were met by sullen waiting staff. We were very surprised by this as most of the restaurant service we receieved in the US was exemplary.

After a morning in the park, we stopped here on our way back to Williams, I really wish I hadn't. We had our 8 month son with us and the first thing we asked for when we arrived was a high chair. Nothing appeared until repeating the request. The menu looks good, I went for a green chile burrito. I'm... More

We were fortunate to spend 3 days at the Grand Canyon with friends who spent years here as park rangers. We ate here one evening near the Grand Canyon south rim in the town of Tusayan and it is the first time that we had been to a mexican restaurant because there are none near us in our home town... It was excellent to have whole section of vegetarian dishes to chose from! that was the reason we chose to go here. We loved the decor as it was bright, colourful and fun with fairy lights and decorations. The food was served quickly and was tasty. The service was fine.

During our trip this past May my husband & I were traveling through Arazonia. We pulled off the highway in Tusayan to look for a place for lunch. I noticed SOPHIE'S in a strip mall. We thought we'd give it a try & walked into a pleasing, but casual atmosphere. The food was outstanding. Very nice service. We highly recommend... More

We were leaving the Grand Canyon after a full day, and we were starving! I remembered this place had a huge "Vegetarian" sign out front, which caught my eye, since my son and I are both vegetarians. A lot of Mexican restaurants make their refried beans with lard, and use chicken stock in their rice. The decor is colorful and... More

We had a chance to stop here for lunch during our vacation in July 14. The place has a very good menu for vegetarians. We tried 3 different dishes, and all were very good. Since we arrived a bit late for lunch, the place wasn't full, and we had a very good service. I'd recommend the vegetarian burritos but there... More

This is standard Arizona Mexican fare, though with more vegetarian choices than normal. It's a bit pricey. They don't let you split up the check, and they charge you for chips after the first round. Our server was polite and helpful. The food came promptly. There is a liquor store adjoined to the restaurant.

Our family loves Mexican food so it was an easy choice to try Sophie's Mexican Kitchen when we visited the Grand Canyon. The food was pretty good, but not fabulous. Prices were high for what you get (food and beverages). There are not a lot of dining options here but probably wouldn't go back.
