We noticed Sophia's because of their "great vegetarian" sign and we weren't disappointed. After a full day at the Canyon we stopped in for dinner and had a hard time choosing from all the great options (not just veg, they have a wide and varied menu). The food was fresh and wonderful, the service was great (thanks Miguel), and the... More

I was drawn in by the cute appearance of the restaurant and sign out front. Atmosphere was bright and colorful although not very clean. Inside the food was not great, food was bland and not of the highest quality. It was extremely overpriced plus there is an automatic 18% tip for a family of five and over which our waitress... More

Our first time to the Grand Canyon, we made it in time to see the sunset. When we drove out of the park, we realized we were starving and since our hotel was an hour's drive away, we had to eat ASAP. Annoyingly, many places were closed (foreign concept to us, as former New Yorkers, our default is to stay... More

When my husband order his meal he didn't realize the size and the amount he would receive, so it was good we had friends to share with us. The food was wonderful, with just the right amount of flavour's, the staff were delightful and friendly, overall we were very impressed.

Tusayan, Arizona is replete with less than mediocre eateries. We chose Sophie's Mexican Kitchen because we could not find a rating on google for it, which made it better than all other restaurants in town. We were very pleased with the homemade salsa (could have been hotter), fresh ingredients, amiable portions and reasonable prices. The restaurant was not busy when... More

Cheap furniture though bright and festive. Wait staff moves slow and food was OK but not memorable. A typical inexpensive lunch spot.

We stopped here on our way out of the Canyon. Food was delicious, and lots of it. Free taco chips with salsa when we sat down. Service was friendly and prompt. They also have some great vegetarian choices. And you should try their flavoured waters!

If you are looking for Mexican food, this isn't the place. Run of the mill Mexican-style joint. Not-so-hot salsa, stale chips, cheap decor. Sub-par cuisine. Servers were friendly and the location was good. Parking lot was small- an issue for those of us traveling in large vehicles. (Walk from your hotel if you can.) Not my favorite meal of the... More

Following a thoroughly poor dining experience where the waitress got our drinks order wrong, the food was bland and contained hair (which was not listed as an ingredient in the enchiladas), being herded around the restaurant like cattle by abrupt staff, and being presented with dirty cutlery and crockery, as is my prerogative I decided not to leave a tip....
