Great Italian

Went here after being referred by a local. Place was packed on a Tuesday. Service was great and quick. Wine is very cheap by the bottle in the area with no exception here. Had the meatballs and bow ties for apps, both well done. Part of our table had pizza, the other pastas. Everyone really... read more

This was our only experience eating at the Italian Peasant. We had been told the food was good. We shared the Chicken Parmesan which came with salad and a side choice. We picked the spaghetti. The only thing we felt was outstanding were the salad dressings (blue cheese and balsamic) and the garlic bread.

Just outstanding, one of our favorite restaurants south of Tucson. Try the wood fired pizza, mussels and pastas, you will be pleasantly surprised. As a matter of fct we are going there for dinner tonight,

It may actually be a misnomer to call this a "peasant burger", that doesn't do it justice. I've never eaten anything here that I didn't like. The pizza is NY great, the parms of various styles are really great. Salads better than most and the decor is comfortable. Still it's the burger that brings me back, time and time again.... More

This restaurant is a well-balanced menu from light and healthy dishes to the heavy eater. My wife loves they're Mediterranean style dishes and I go for the hunter sandwich which is thinly sliced fillet mignon sautéed Portabella mushrooms melted provolone on grilled Italian bread. Very nice and romantic dining room. You can also get pizza ago.

We were invited by friends to join them at Opera night at the Italian Peasant - we were pleasantly surprised. We had expected to hear one opera singer but there were 5 professional singers who delivered a fantastic performance. We were surprised considering the small venue. The meal was ok - breaded pork chop, small caesar salad with shrimp. The... More

Inexpensive good southern Italian food.Service excellent, busy all the time but doesnt affect the food or service. Owner died last year but continued at the same level by Ms. Puglisi, his widow. Good wine list at low prices.Feels like NYC in Tubac of all places.

Always enjoy the food here! Great place to stop at before or after shopping at the Tubac stores and galleries. Food is always fresh and good. Love to start the meal with a Caparse salad. Fish and chips are fresh. Enjoy!!!

The restaurant was very cold as a big fan was blowing cold air over the tables. Caesar salads were ok, nothing special. We ordered spaghetti Alfredo, very bland and unappetizing and the Spaghetti Fresca, which was pretty good but a small portion. I was the lucky one and ordered the small eggplant parmigiana. It was excellent and came with a... More

This place is a quaint little Italian restaurant with great food. Lots of seafood pasta choices and killer pizza. The oyster rocker fellers and mussels appetizers are awesome. Staff is always friendly.
