Great food, staff and atmosphere. Great drink selection. The menu has lots of good choices for Mexican food and steaks.

The food is fine enough but the margaritas, service and ambiance are spectacular. This restaurant is just off the main highway between Tucson and Nogales so with that in mind it is a excellent stop or reprieve from a drive between Mexico and the good ol USA. Highly recommend this restaurant for an experience if not quite as much for... More

First: Drinks. House margarita is $6.00. Order an extra shot for $.50 - makes it much better. Hubby says "delicious." Designer margaritas run up to $15.00 per. Wine: Expensive. Least costly by the glass, two offerings each of white and red for $9.00. I had the Malbec, which was delicious ($9.00). Everything else is 10, 11, 12 and above per... More

I went to Elvira's during a trip to Tubac in June. Eating establishments in Tubac are limited, and during the summer months, even more so. A local recommended Elvira's, so my friend and I gave it a try. From the moment you walk into Elvira's, you are transported to a wonderful dining experience. Although labelled as a Mexican restaurant, this... More

This is our second trip to Elvira's and we weren't disappointed. Elvira's has probably the best variety of Mole north of the border. My wife had the Mole Rojo Hazelnut, with chicken breast, and I again had the Beef Tongue Mole Poblano. Both came with rice & beans that were tasty, but the Mole,,,,,OMG, absolutely delicious. And huge servings! Mole is... More

Food choices in Tubac are limited. We stumbled upon Elvira's when our hunger had the best of us. After being out of town for a few days, we were in need of a decent salad. This place hit the spot. Our "Lite Spinach Salad" was very good and reasonably priced. Unfortunately, for such a small out-of-the-way town, the prices on... More

For many years Elvira's was a mainstay in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico, ably managed and run my a wonderful gentleman and his wife. We helped it grow from a small, humble establishment featuring Sonoran comfort food with Twinkies as dessert, to a rather large and quite sophisticated restaurant serving Sonoran Cuisine including a wonderful Sonoran Fajita in Mocholate Sauce. My very... More

While participating at a golf event at the Tubac Golf Resort, an hour South of Tucson, we were referred to Elvira's. The food was so outstanding that we had dinner there 3 out of 4 nights! The moles, steaks and enchilladas were particularly good. Staff were friendly and well informed. It's worth the drive from Tucson to go for dinner.

A great meal and welcome addition to the otherwise obligatory Tubac tourist scene my wife has me endure on our regular passages through this tourist pilgrimage. Really good flavors, friendly service and a fun environment.

This restaurant has some of the best food, there's something for everyone. The staff were very polite and knowledgeable. The scene is the best, both indoors and out.
