Excellent experience for our first-time visit

We were a large (7) group most of whom had never experienced the "high-end" menu provided by Elvira's. This is not a taco joint, they are serious about serving sophisticated cuisine with a Mexican flair. The service provided by Jose was impeccable and the food..........incredible. I had the Duck... read more

Had lunch there with a good friend. Could've stayed in the lobby! There were so many things to look at. We loved the decor right off the bat. The margarita was very tasty and the lunch entrees were just right. Excellent presentation and seasoned just right. Can't wait to go back!

The décor is beautiful. The food very good. The portions were large. Although the prices were high, one order was enough to split or take home for another meal.

It is tough to review Elvira's, especially living in So. Arizona now and having access to a plethora of good Mexican restaurants. First of all, the atmosphere is very attractive and funky but can be very loud on a busy night. If a label is necessary, then Elvira's would probably be classified as more high end, due to the setting... More

We were shopping and relatives had recommended this restaurant for great Mexican cuisine. The restaurant décor is awesome unlike any other restaurant. The service was fine. The tequila was good. The disappointment was the food. It just wasn't anything special and we were a little disappointed. We probably would not go back, but it may have just been the items... More

Walk through the doors of Elvira's, and you are transported into a another world! (And thank goodness, this world has excellent air-conditioning, because, it was hot Out There!) The interior is done in various surreal themes. At reception, chubby cherubs dance above your head, then you are shown past various fanciful hanging lanterns into a large room with a ceiling... My husband and I took a road trip to Southern Arizona after seeing a segment on this restaurant on the Arizona Highways TV show. What looked so intriguing on TV was just phenomenal! We visited the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. The hours were 11 am - 3 pm so we made sure to get there in time. First of... More

First off, the restaurant is a beautiful piece of art that perfectly complements the surrounding area. That said, the dinner was a complete disaster. We arrived just after 6pm as a party of 3, my father, my mother and myself. There were three tables in the back of the restaurant, so the restaurant was effectively empty. The hostess proceeded to... Elvira's is a great restaurant. The ambience is great and the glass teardrop decorations hanging from the ceiling add a nice touch. We went for drink and appetizers. The margaritas were great.
