What a hoot

On a recent mid-week February visit, there were very few Arizona license plates - people from all over make the drive out to this fun old West spot. Food and prickly pear gelato were actually very good and reasonably priced. Live music outside. Come on down . . .

Tortilla flats is a must zee if ur in phoenix; az. The drive out rt 60 to superstition mts is awesome. The winding road to tortilla flats has breathtaking views and an exciting ride. The town population as i recall is less than 100 people. The saloon bar stools have horse tails and the entire wall is covered with one... More

Great place for a day trip from the Phoenix area. The food is good. There is an outdoor BBQ with live country music. Please do not go home after but head along he Apache trail for a great adventure ride.

The Superstition saloon is a great place to have a cold one. Try the saddle seats at the bar. The saloon also has great food... Burgers, and HUGE nachos. Good food and beer. The decor is Old West with dollar bills autographed and stapled to the wall. If you go, don't forget your sharpie marker and dollar bill. If you... More

I made the trek out to Tortilla Flat and to go to the Superstition Saloon. My last visit there was two years ago and loved time atmosphere and food and I was not in the least disappointed. The food, drinks and staff there were outstanding. What a wonderful place to go to after driving the scenic route out there.

Good place for a burger/beer and people watching. Walls papered with signed one dollar bills. A few interesting shops, nice change of pace from the city.

Great place to enjoy a taste of chips, chili, and cheese mixture. It's the cheapest item on the menu but worth it considering the sun and music. Good visit to a tourist trap.

Restaurant is large, with big menu (focusing on excellent steak burgers and chili/salsa/chips), and real saddles for bar stools. Shops include a full post office so stamps are easy to buy. Whole town is on the south side of the road, facing the lake. The road is paved from the Phoenix area all the way here, and well marked/painted, but... More

Great place for a burger and a beer on a warm day. Continue on past the saloon on the dirt road up to Apache lake, Roosevelt Dam and lake Roosevelt.
