fun and historic place for lunch

The restaurant and saloon are just along the board walk at Tortilla Flats. The saloon is papered in dollar bills and I was told that there is $240,000 plastered on the walls. This is an old west themed restaurant and is very popular for people of all ages. There seems to be a contingency of... read more

When our friends told us we were going to a town up a mountain that had a population of 6 people, we were concerned with the outcome, but figured it must be something or they wouldn't take us there. This place is a well kept secret from the country, but not the locals. It was extremely busy and the restaurant... More

It's more about the experience than the quality. The food and the service is just okay, but it is a neat place in the middle of nowhere. If you happen to be in Tortilla Flats, give it a try... just don't expect 5 star cuisine and you won't be disappointed. Oh, and they have beer!

We really enjoyed the drive up and did some boating in Canyon Lake before heading onward to the Saloon. It's worth taking this trip for sure. We stopped in for a beer and some Nachos. The souvenir shop has some interesting finds.

I've been here for a burger (was great) and for breakfast (was excellent) and this last time was here for ice cream and to listen to music on the patio, enjoyed each visit and they were all special in their own way. As others have mentioned, don't forget your camera. Definitely a must visit if you are a tourist in... More

It was a beautiful drive to get here and even on a rainy Tuesday it was busy. The burger was so large I split it and had a snake venom. Great food! Be sure to explore the area and taste the gelato!

We like to ride here on the motorcycle. Great ride through the mountains. Very busy on the weekends. Its better if you can come during the week. The hamburger was good. Love the money covered walls and the saddle seats at the bar.

Had good food and beverage, live music, lots of history. Put a dollar on the wall. Take a photo in the bathroom, you will understand when you get there.

What a fun place and what a view. A local place that clearly is for tourists and locals and the crowd is having fun. The food was good without anything special - just good quality and served timely despite the crowd the views are awesome and the area is worth the trip. Not the easiest ride and a curving and...
