What a fun place!

"Newlyweds" (sister and brother-in-law) decided to take my brother, sister-in-law and myself to Tortilla Flats the day after the wedding. It was a hot (upper 90's) day by the time we crossed the bridge over Crater Lake (only 1 car can cross the bridge at a time), but the trip was well worth the... read more

If you want to be nowhere, you've found the right spot. The town boasts a population of 6. It's an old stagecoach stop that looks like it did 150 years ago. The chili is great with the coldest beer putting out the fire. Not very far from Phoenix but if you keep going towards Roosevelt Dam the pavement ends and... More

Population 6 - reads the sign on the way into town! An old stage coach stop from the 1800's, this is a 'Must See' while in the Phoenix area. There are several buildings knitted together on a single boardwalk. Curio's and souvenirs, an open air entertainment venue for the weekends and a restaurant that seats about 300 people. The walls... The atmosphere is unique and the staff is very friendly. We sat up to the bar on a horse saddle and drank the coldest beer in Arizona out of Kerr jars. Ordered the killer chili burger. It was so large we had to cut in half and share it. Best chili we've ever had. Nothing to dislike about this saloon.... More

We took a drive on the Apache Trail. This restaurant was about half way around. We stop to look and get water but stayed for appetizers. You have to try out the saddle chairs by the bar. Also make sure to try the bread bowl bean and cheese dip with chips. Onion rings are good also. Get there early as... More

Great burgers, Chili and service provided by a squirt gun wielding server named Karen. We were visiting family in Mesa and heard The Flats was worth the drive. We were not disappointed. Thank you for making us smile and laugh while enjoying a hardy lunch...we will be back...with our squirt gun!

Stopped here on a hot day after being at Goldfield. Scenic drive to get here past Canyon lake. There's a large gift shop out here too. I always take my out of town visitors out here however this is the first time I have been at the restaurant. Good burgers. Sit at the bar in a saddle!

The restaurant and saloon are just along the board walk at Tortilla Flats. The saloon is papered in dollar bills and I was told that there is $240,000 plastered on the walls. This is an old west themed restaurant and is very popular for people of all ages. There seems to be a contingency of motorcycle riders who frequent the... More

When our friends told us we were going to a town up a mountain that had a population of 6 people, we were concerned with the outcome, but figured it must be something or they wouldn't take us there. This place is a well kept secret from the country, but not the locals. It was extremely busy and the restaurant... More

It's more about the experience than the quality. The food and the service is just okay, but it is a neat place in the middle of nowhere. If you happen to be in Tortilla Flats, give it a try... just don't expect 5 star cuisine and you won't be disappointed. Oh, and they have beer!
