If they would take the thousands of dollars pasted to the walls and reinvest in the restaurant gift shop and ice cream parlor maybe we'd have a place to see. Tourist stop along the Apache Trail, stream smelled, restaurant had a funk as did the ice cream parlor and of course the bathrooms.... $9.67 for 3 - single scoop cones... More

great ride out scenery is fantastic of lichen covered rocks. When you get there they have some interesting stuff. Restaurant is a tourist trap only. Food is almost average. Bar is good. I would suggest a drink and then back to scottsdale for lunch.

This place is a dirge! Don't be fooled by the online photos that makes this out to be some cool old time town where you can eat a meal and shop a bit. The bar only has saddles you can sit at if you want to belly-up and the restaurant is not impressive at all. The "Mercantile" is no more... More

This place is completely covered from wall to wall with dollar bills and international currency from travelers coming through over the years. Food was good - but is a little pricey. But where else is there to go???

Atmosphere was great and so was the service. Food was nothing to write home about. Very disappo as the menu said they had Prickly Pear wine on the menu but they no longer serve it.

We took a motorcycle ride on Arizona Hwy. 88 from Apache Junction to Tortilla Flat. The road is bumpy, but has lots of hairpin turns, twisties, and beautiful scenery. We even saw two deer along the way. Our stop at Tortilla Flat Superstion Saloon was a stark contrast to the beautiful countryside. This is definitely a tourist trap, with shops,... More

The views on the way to this restaurant were breathtaking...the restaurant was neat to see. The walls are papered with $1 bills and the bar stools are saddles (easier to get on than off!) The food was fine.

After reading the reviews, we were excited for the trip. Luckily, the view driving up to Tortilla Flat was breathe taking. Otherwise, not worth the drive. We didn't eat at the saloon but we did get ice cream in the broken down grocery shop which was incredibly over priced. $20 for a family of 3. The gift shop had very... More

We stopped here on our way to Apache Lake. Did not eat in the restaurant but did get ice cream at the store. I enjoyed the prickly pear ice cream but my 12 year old daughter was not impressed. Unfortunately they do not offer samples...not even one small spoon of any flavor. I rarely complain but I felt that was... More
