We took a group of over 20 to the restaurant after a tour on the Dolly Steamboat. We had called ahead two weeks prior and was told there would be a section of the restaurant waiting for us. Everything worked out perfectly for our tour. The waiters were wonderful and they promptly got our group seated and served. The food... More

We visited Tortilla Flat on a Monday afternoon and the place was fairly quiet. We got to sit at the bar in the saddle stools and had a great experience. The food very good and reasonably priced. Great service from our waitress Karen. The drive out there is beautiful and worthwhile on its own. A great way to get out... More

The drive is nothing short of spectacular! The Saloon at Tortilla Flats is everything we had hoped and more. Great food, great service and great atmosphere! The saddle seats at the bar are the best! Be sure to give Karen at the bar a hard time so you get a good ole western welcome when you order your beers! Thanks... More

After taking a noon cruise on the Dolly on nearby Canyon Lake, we decided to venture east a short distance into Tortilla Flat for a late lunch in this tiny town of 6. This fun & unique experience was worth the trip! This saloon was rebuilt after the 1987 fire which destroyed almost the entire town. The rest of Tortilla... More

We visited early, like before 10 AM. The outside patio didn't open until noon, so we didn't get to experience that, but we did eat inside. Even though it was breakfast time, we ate burgers. One of the employees recommended one with bacon and cheese to my husband and he loved it. The waitress was very good too. This place... More

They were very busy and we didn't want to wait so we sat at the bar. If you sit at the bar you sit on real western saddles. An experience worth going for right there. Food was good, service was good and the place was as clean as it could be being that busy. I'm not going to explain it... More

Busy place! Tourists from everywhere descend upon this old saloon. The interior of the building is covered with dollar bills. The sandwiches we had were good. Service was also good. Didn't see the outside seating until we were leaving. Ladies make sure you stop in the restrooom to take a look. Worth a stop.

We went to Tonto National Monument and decided to take the unpaved 88 past the Theodore Roosevelt Dam. Let me tell you this road is not for the faint of heart! Barely any guard rails. You can squeeze two cars across sometimes. Very scary! After that adventure, you end up in the very small 'town'. There's a bar, restaurant, and... More

So there you are. It's lunch time. You've driven at least 45 minutes, through the mountains and around the lake. You're tired. You're hot. You could eat your arm off. Then there's the 1/2 hour wait for lunch. It's worth it. Take the pager and browse the gift shop. Sit outside and listen to the band. Check out the ladies... More
