We ate hete with 4 people. We ordered the red snapper for two. The other two had the filled chicken breast and the arroz with palm heart. The fish was the best i have had in my life. Its a bit of a wait, but its so worth it. And it looked amazing too. After we had the grilled banana... More

I can only second what many others have said, but in my own way: best snapper I've had in my entire life. And I love snapper and lived in Florida for many years, and then in Japan for as many more. I've eaten it gourmet style, Japanese style, Russian style, Latin style and now Drake Bay style. Congrats, Juan Carlos... More

Are you looking for a great restaurant while staying in Drake ? Casa El Tortugo is the place ! The owner Juan Carlos Cadeno greeted us with a warm welcome and catered a wonderful lunch with whole local fish, limes and patacones (my favorite). The view is very peaceful, we went back for dinner the following day, we couldn't have... More

We ate here on many occasions as we couldn't get enough of the food or the location. Situated on the beach you can hear the waves crashing on the beach as you eat & the sunset is breathtaking. The fillet minion was amazing & owners were so friendly ( plus the two cute dogs who hugged our feet all night... More

This was a beautiful little restaurant with freshly cooked food. The seafood looked fantastic, but I'm a veggie, so can't say for certain. The fish is caught daily in the bay and it's supposedly so good that they run out almost every night. The moral of that story is that if you want the fish, make sure you arrive early......around... We went on both our nights in Bahia Drake and were more than excited to have found this unique restaurant in the dark (flashlight needed!). Theresa is a perfect hostess and the food is worth the wait. Arroz con Palmito was a very welcome and delicious dish for vegetarians!

We were recommended to try Drake's Kitchen by a different restaurant so we had high hopes. We went for dinner so it was dark outside when we began our hike. We thought that this restaurant was difficult to find because it is a ways out of town and the road was poorly lit (flashlight is absolutely needed). Teresa is super... More

We were advised by a different restaurant in Drake's Bay to try Drake's Kitchen so we had high expectations. We went for dinner so it was dark outside and we thought that the restaurant was somewhat difficult to find. It is a ways out of town and the road is not well lit (Definitely need to bring a flashlight).. Teresa... More

We have been to this restaurant in February and it was the best restaurant we met in Costa Rica! The food was so delicious and look so nice! The waitress was more than friendly and the atmosphere was a bit romantic. It is close to the beach so you can hear the waves and they put some candles on the... More

This little place is just on the way into or out of the tiny town of Drake Bay and let me just say that it's #1 ranking is more than justified! The food was AMAZING!!! We ate here our 2nd night in town upon the recommendation of our awesome tour guide Carlos, in addition to having read many stellar reviews... More
