Good time Charlie a music promoter encouraged us to come to last Friday nights entertainment at the restaurant. Food was good. Music was great including the violinist. Power went out half way through the performance and they improvised and did a great job.

We went on Friday evening and enjoyed the live band. This is a cover band (that definitely already plays for decades) doing nice Rock and Roll songs. And the food is probably one of the best in Dominical.

We treat Roca Verde as an extension of our kitchen, except that the food is generally better than what we can cook at very reasonable prices. Specifically, the Mahi special is an excellent piece of fish, quite thick, and cooked to perfection. The slightly spicy and sweet sauce which accompanies it is delicious. We also sampled the Chicken Parmesan, which... More

We were introduced to this restaurant by the owner of Coconut Grove Cabins who plays in the band that was performing the night we were there. I am not a huge fan of bands but these talented people are not just some basement variety they are professional studio musicians from the US who are now living the Pura Vida life.... More

Stopped by a couple of times. One time it was closed the owner started telling us we should have stayed in a hotel...we had rented a house...the place looked dumpy, beside a main road overlooking the parking lot. Not sure what his point was, but despite his lack of understanding of tourism we returned for take-out pizza which was pretty... More

We stopped in on several occasions mainly to hear the band playing. The first time we just had drinks and the next visit we had a burger...both were okay. Service tends to be slow when busy....but everyone is on Tico Time! The music was great and we did get in a dance or two!

After a day of kayaking, which left us muddy and tired (but we had a great time!) we decided a pizza and a cold beer was just the thing. The restaurant is open air, on the beach and casual enough that even though we were muddy we didn't look to out of place! The cold beer hit the spot, but... More

We had tried to get to this restaurant once before and we walked in and no one was around and the place looked closed. We decided to try again last evening for dinner and I am so glad we did. The menu was smaller but all four of us had amazing food. We had a flavours we have tasted. The... More

We had a quick lunch there and enjoyed our meal of seafood pasta in white sauce. We were the only customers in the place but there were plenty of dogs. We loved 'em and our son enjoyed petting them, but if having several dogs sitting under your table isn't your thing, this might not be the place for you. I'd... More
