We watched Costa Rica play in the World Cup while we were here and it was a lot of fun (until the end when they lost :(. The staff here is so friendly and seems to genuinely enjoy working here, unlike a lot of restaurant employees. Great view and the toucans show up around 5, so some great bird watching... More

We love this place, laid back and great food! The owner and staff greet you by name with a great Costa Rica hug! The ocean view is stupendous and the toucans are daily visitors so bring your camera. The wings are huge and cooked just right with more flavors than we have ever seen and the hamburgers are huge!!! Don't... More

We live in the area and the Roger is a fantastic place. The wings are wide ranging in taste. The staff is the great part of the Roger experience. You also will not believe the view and the drive to the location. We go often and never have failed to have a fantastic time.

The Jolly Roger was worth the hike up the mountain. The wings were great, and the Storm Fries (parmesan, garlic, and pepper) were amazing. Highly recommended for anyone in the area needing a "American Fix" of burgers, wings, and beer.

Enjoyed another relaxing evening at Jolly Roger with friends. Wings are as incredible as ever, the huge burger was one of the best! Handcut fries, great view of ocean with Toucans for company. Good selection of cold beer and one of the best Margaritas ever. You can't ask for more!

I really like the wings, but I would seriously like to nominate the Jolly Burger as the best burger in the world. When I am in town twice a year, I almost live off Jolly burgers. I am a fine burger fan, I only use Elk or Bison at home, and this is my only beef exception in the world... More

$30 (14,770 colones) for 1 batch of wings a personal pizza and a tiny Caesar salad? Food not bad not great, but not enough to fill myself and wife and we're not fat. We'll FILL UP on a good breakfast tomorrow though anywhere else in Costa Rica for $3-6. This business wouldn't survive in Pittsburgh without lowering price(steelers bar). Should... More

Sorry you didn't like our joint Dan O. Most people do. 1 1/4 pound of wings 4,900 or $9.50. Personal Pizza 4,000-5,000 or $7.50-9.50. Caesar Salad 3,000 or $5.75. Large wall sized menu clearly states that tax and 10% gratuity are not included. Costa Rica is not as cheap as people think. In fact it costs way more than the... More

The drive is worth it! Straight up hill with switchbacks, just adds to the fun! We had a large crowd. They were sweet and patient with us. Fed the kids first, kept the drinks coming for the adults! Great burgers! 20+ wing flavors. They make the sour mix for the margaritas fresh, in house daily.

Came here twice we enjoyed the experience so much. Amazingly delicious margaritas, unreal wings and a burger that was out of this world. Also, the staff here works at a pace that was unmatched in every other place we dined in Dominical. The place comes alive with both locals and travelers making for a real treat and fun time. Get... Our family of six just returned from vacation and cannot say enough great things about this place. We rented a house just up the hill from Bar Jolly Roger and ate there three times during our trip. Not only are the wings incredible but the staff makes you feel as if you are at home. Definitely the Cheers Bar of... More
