Fresh and delicious

Huge portions, tasty. Friendliest folks imaginable. A bit off the beaten path, but worth the walk. Be Sue and enjoy something fresh; it all comes from the farmers market in San Isedro.

My wife and I had breakfast here almost every day during our stay, and it was amazing. Especially the huevos rancheros and typical tico plates. Their coffee, hot and iced, was terrific. We also ordered smoothies from them, which I really recommend: you're not going to get fresher, tastier smoothies anywhere else!

We have gone to Café Ensuenos twice in the past week. Both times for breakfast and coffee. The breakfasts were excellent and the coffee wonderful. We also had a Batido and a smoothie with fresh fruit. We had their special breakfast which included Eggs, Gallo Pinto, Plantain, sausage, tortillas. All very tasty, the Gallo Pinto was one of the best... More

We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner here several times while in Dominical, ordering different items each time. Everything was excellent, the prices are good and the staff is terrific. Wish every place we went on our trip was a good as Cafe Ensuenos - hated to leave.

Staying at Montanas de Aqua, which is right across the street. So not only is this restaurant convient, but also has great service and tastes great. As everyone else has mentioned they really do have amazing smoothies ( more like ice cream- have to start it off with a spoon) and the fruit shakes are also very good. Had one... More

Slow down and take your time. If you are in a rush, take it to go. Rosa is wonderful and this restaurant makes delicious basic dishes though we heard she makes roasted pork sometime which I hope to check out while I am here.

This is my favourite restaurant in Dominical! The food is amazingly fresh and tasty, the family environment so welcoming and if you need a taxi anywhere (including a last minute SOS to the airport when your other ride falls through..) just ask Sergio! I recommend a fruit plate after surfing, with a side of guacamole and the huevos and mono... More

My buddy and I stopped in for a smoothie, he said they were the best around, he was right! They were full of fresh fruit and piled high in the glass! I did think it was crazy to see a "TripAdvisor" decal on the front of there display case in such a remote area. Just goes to show you...something, I... More

We'd read so many good reviews, we were excited to experience Cafe Ensuenos, but sadly the entire experience was a let-down. There was nothing special about the ambiance, menu, service, or food. I wish we'd gone somewhere else. I felt like I was inconveniencing the owners by showing up, the service was impatient and short, and the food was not... More

Just what everyone has said: This is a fantastic little place run by a lovely and extremely hard-working family, who want to do anything to provide you with a positive experience at their restaurant and in Costa Rica. We stayed across the street at Montañas de Agua, and this was our daily breakfast and lunch or dinner retreat from the... More
