Large portions and great taste. Breakfast

First time visit... Menu is huge. Took a while to sift through the choices for breakfast.. We had 4 at the table and we all had something different it was all tasty and good, but would probably pass on the French toast as it was super greasy. But all the other meals were tasty and different. Large... read more

From NY I had hoped this would bring back the memory of Matzoh ball soup, gefilite fish, a good hot dog, and Dr. Browns. Well the Dr. Browns was fine. The soup is so salty, with no other flavor that it was not edible. I figured I would try the gefilte fish, none, sorry. I settled for an over cooked... More

I don't know what we were expecting from this restaurant as we're not accustomed to NY deli food. We tried a chocolate egg cream...I don't understand why this is something someone would want to drink as it just wanted tasty. I chose to eat the mini potato pancake appetizer as my dinner. There were two mini regular potato pancakes, two... More

I last reviewed Chompies in November 2014 after eating breakfast there. Tonight I had dinner and was extremely pleased with the meal. I had Braised Brisket with a potato pancake and onion strings. These folks know how to serve a deli meal. The brisket was moist and tasty. The potato pancake was accompanied by a small portion of apple sauce... More

Coffee and food as great! Its a very busy atmosphere but we still enjoyed our food and we're able to conduct business. A table down was filled the basketball stars that our local jumped up to greet. Cool place.

Love their pastrami sandwiches! I get their meatloaf and it is scrumptious! They also have a lot of food you can take with you like bagels, cream cheese in many flavors, and yummy desserts!

In a desert of deli's there is a real deli!!! When beggars cannot be choosers, this place will make you smile... There is quit the selection of sandwiches, meats, and great desserts!!! By far cannot be rivaled by any of the wanna be deli's in the grocery stores or chains!

A great Jewish deli, all the classics you'd expect, Potatoe pancakes, Reuben, pastrami, corned beef, sandwiches that require a fork and knife. Plus, a massive selection of baked goods. I had the everything bagel with nova it was good, but there was more garnish than anything else on the plate. Others had omelettes. All the food was good, the baked... More

The bakery and carryout options set it apart from other NY deli's in Phoenix. The matzo ball soup is a mainstay for us during flu season and the fruit tortes are definitely worth the splurge. Go here understanding that you are in a NY style deli in Phoenix and you will not be disappointed.
