I love this place! The food is great and the prices are very reasonable. Plus when you’re done eating, you get to check out all the cool stuff Middle Eastern food they have in their store. I’ve seen a couple reviews knocking the “ambience” of Haji, but who cares? It’s clean, you get a ton of food and it tastes... More

Wonderful Middle Eatsern food... I always get the gyro- but the hummus is great, they make the pitas- FRESH, falafel, tibbi, and grape leaves, also divine. No frills, service can be slower- but also, worth your patience. International market adjoining, and I believe they supply other restaurants in Phoenix area.- seems they have many market regulars. HOLE IN THE WALL... More

Wow. We love this place. For a mere$2.99 one can order a falafel pita sammy and be fully satisfied. THE BEST FALAFEL IN AZ. We've tried other family establishments and this restaurant beats all in the fact that the food is absolutely delicious, fresh, made to order and excellent customer service. They also have a grocery store with fresh spices,... More

This is not a place you would go for the ambiance, but a cheap meal, sure. The hummus was good (not the best I've ever had - pita jungle) The gyro with tatziki and the homemade pita (you have to ask for the homemade pitas- well worth it) is really good. I got the combination platter- what I enjoyed was... More

Most authentic middle eastern food I have had in the Phoenix area. A friend recommended this place to me otherwise I never would have found it. The building looks run down but inside is a hidden gem. There is also a middle eastern grocery store inside that has all kinds of spices and sauces if you like to cook this... More

I went last week with a huge group of friends. There were over 20 of us and although this place was small, it accommodated all of us. They were patient with our large group and were nothing but nice. They had many great choices on the menu. I went with a chicken dish with hummus and rice. The chicken had... More

Heard about this on CHECK PLEASE CH 8 Phoenix pbs. Sounded good so I went for lunch, The food was interesting Lebanese , plentiful and inexpensive. However I became ill soon after and had stomach problems for three days after the meal. I believe the problem stemmed from the server who also was bussing the tables of left over food... More

Yes, Haji Baba's is a hole in the wall type of place but if you are looking for good Syrian food at very reasonable prices, this is the place to go. Their hummus, tabooli, pita bread, rice and falafal are very good. Not as good as I make (I am Middle Eastern) but quite passable. This is NOT the place... More

Based on all the good reviews, I decided to give this place a try. I was sorely disappointed. The place was dingy and I was not seated promptly even though it was mostly empty. The food was mediocre, absolutely nothing special. People like it because it's one of two Middle Eastern eateries in the whole state probably. I didn't see... More

Come for the food, and don't forget to check out the market. If you are looking for some great, authentic middle eastern food, this is your place... if you are looking for a beautiful atmosphere, this one isn't for you. It's motto should be "just good food, always. " No frills but doesn't need it because the food can hold... More
