Locals recommended Haji-Baba and I could see why. The food was amazing. We especially loved the hummus and pita bread. The restaurant is inside a Mediterranean grocery store and is very popular. There isn't much atmosphere, but you don't need it when the food is so good!

Really enjoyed our lunch at Haji-baba today. The restaurant is very plain and maybe even a bit disorganized but their food is excellent. I must say that I love Lebanese food. Their Babaganoush is definitely the best I have ever eaten.

If you want some authentic Arabic food at a reasonable price, then look no further. Chicken kebab platter and the falafel platter were excellent.

This is the best chicken schwarma I have ever had. The large portion of chicken was so moist, perfectly seasoned and served with rice, tabouleh, and the creamiest hummus. The system for eating is not clear - I learned that you wait by the sign if you want to eat in the restaurant. Not a huge negative. There is a... More

my fav middle eastern restaurant. A grocery store is in the same building so I have bought some needed items there such as tamarind. I LOVE the chicken shwerma, in fact the waiters usually know what I am going to order. The hummus and home made pita bread along with the garlic sauce and tabooli are a great combination! makes... Saw the review in the travel book and decided to try this place out. It is definitely worth a visit if you like hummus, baba ganoush and lamb gyros. For once I could actually taste the lamb as it was not drowned in sauce or other condiments. The pita bread was soft, warm and delicious. The prices are very reasonable.... More

Who knew someplace this good would be hidden away like this? Everything is more delicious than the next from the rose scented lemonade ( heavenly) to the amazing gyros. Did I mention the baklava...puts you right over the edge. Prices are so reasonable it's almost a crime!

This restaurant is near my office; and I half jokingly refer to it as the best benefit at my company! Fantastic middle-eastern food - very authentic. The chicken shawarma is the best I have found outside of Europe - a must try!

Being of Middle Eastern descent and having grown up with "the food", I'd like to think I know my way around it. To say Haji Baba is an unbelievable find is an understatement. I NEVER miss an opportunity to stop in for lunch. The food is authentic, wonderful tasting, and most reasonably priced. It's busy right at lunch time but... More

Quick, no frill restaurant situated in a Mediterranean/Arabic grocery store. Had lunch here my first day in Tempe and the food kept me fueled for the rest of the day. Ordered the beef shawarma and it was quite good. I think the chicken might've been better as some pieces of the beef had been cooked too long and had that... More
