GOOD ITALIAN IN QUIET AREA OF TEMPE

Beginning with a recommendation from a bartender at the hotel I stay at I have been to Riazzi's several times now. Really like the seafood diavola ... spicy with good amount of mussels, shrimp and scallops. Did not care for the veal dish I had one night. Another seafood dish of just scallops and... read more

We went to Riazzi's last night for our anniversary dinner and it was wonderful as always. Shortly after being seated in a comfortable padded booth in the bar, the server brought a basket of piping hot bread with several pats of butter, and the feasting began. Traditional Italian music alternated with classic oldies from the 50s as we enjoyed our... More

I'm afraid I can't give this place a decent rating based on the overall taste and selection of foods for lunch. Many items have been crossed off the menu which is never a good sign. The server seemed very disinterested in her job. When we asked for iced tea to drink I asked her if they had Splenda...she said she'd... More

If you are looking for cutting edge cuisine, chic ambiance and decor, trendy people etc., this is not the place for you. If you are interested in absolutely excellent Italian food (the kind you received once in a great while from a home cooked meal from an Italian friend of the family), go! You'll return often. Facts: Family run for... More

My mother in law considers Riazzi's a "tradition". Well the last 3 times we have eaten here we have vowed not to return. Tonight was the final straw. We had a reservation for 9 people at 6:30 pm. We were finally seated around 6:45. They hadn't even set up for us. Then we went and got our own menus because... More

Went here for both lunch and dinner and would give this restaurant an A+ The food is excellent well prepared an as authentic as Italy itself. The portions are very generous and the prices are extremely reasonable! Unlike the previous reviewer the service was extremely good being both attentive and courteous.

The bread and first glass of water was fast. After that........it fell apart. Server took order and said that it wouldn't take any longer than 20 min. It was about that long in getting our salads. Food arrived Luke warm, we were asked do you need anything else? I asked for refill on water, about 3/4 done my meal, I... More

We dined here with some friends on New Year's Eve. None of us had eaten at Riazzi's before and what a great surprise, it was really good. Everything from the bread to dessert was delicious. The service was good and the restaurant was packed. We will definitely plan to return to Riazzi's in the future as it is one of... More

Over the last 28 years, I've driven by Riazzi's, albeit infrequently, still never noticed the place. Located on the southwest corner of Alameda and Mill Ave., trees and neighborhoods camoflauge, allowing the building to blend in well. Aesthetically, there's nothing particularly inviting about Riazzi's - inside or out, with a messiness on the outside and an outdated interior. My friends... More

We've been to Riazzi's a few times and the food is very good. I like the Spinach Lasagne. We decided to get a take out order of cheese pizza and it was great! The cheese is good and there is not too much sauce. Try it!
