Tried Z'Tejas for the first time on the recommendation of a waiter in another restaurant in another state. I am glad we did. Corn bread was fantastic, sweet and moist. Entrees of five cheese Macaroni and Achiote chicken amd the entree salad " Achiote Chicken chopped Salad, was well presented and flavorful. It was worth the hour drive. Will go... More

Had lunch here with a business contact. I had the crab cake salad, which was very tasty, but a bit heavy on the tortilla chips. Our service was prompt, and our server very pleasant and attentive. They have complementary valet parking - use it, or you will pay to park in Tempe's overpriced metered spaces or garages. That might be... More

I ate here with a group of 16 including 3 children. The service was very good. There was something on the menu to appeal to everyone. I had the Ruby Trout and it was excellent. The only odd thing was that for a restaurant with Tejas in its name and many Tex-Mex offering, they served cornbread, not chips.

We knew what to expect from Z'Tejas having frequented the original in Austin and we were not disappointed. I love the complimentary fresh cornbread! The shrimp guacamole tostados is a yummy plate to share.

Great location that is easy to walk to from area hotels. The restaurant had a generously sized outdoor dining area which was great the time of day we were there. The food lived up to its reputation and the service was great. I would definitely go back!

Insanely good Chambord Margarita. Never had anything quite like it. Delicious fish tacos and blackened catfish burritos. Check your bill carefully at the end. There was a mistake on mine. I would eat here again.

On a recent trip to Tempe I had a hankering for TexMex and tries these guys out. While the service was fine the fajitas were a big disappointment. Not even close to the good fare I customarily find in the Southwest.

5 of us had dinner at Z'Tejas on a Sunday evening. That night they were serving a party of 100. They still managed to do a good job of taking care of us. They brought their famous complimentary corn bread to the table. (two of them). It was very good. I also ordered the fried catfish appetizer. It too was... More
