Lovely combination of flavors. The bruschetta had avacadoes, pears, and lovely variety of flavors. The lamb was perfectly cooked, and the potatoes underneath was exquisite. The creme brulee was unlike any other I had ever experienced--I think I ate more than my fair share! Service was excellent and it was fun to eat out in the fresh air.

We first heard about this place a couple years ago on Check Please! Arizona (a weekly restaurant review program on the local PBS station). We took out-of-state friends there for lunch a week ago last Saturday. Our firsthand experience surpassed the good reviews the TV show had given this restaurant. Friendly staff, prompt service, good atmosphere, out of the ordinary... More

I felt bad suggesting this restaurant to my friends. One friend ordered braised short rib and for 33.00 there were 3 potatoes and one 3 oz piece of meat. She mentioned to the waitress that for The price the size was ridiculous the waitress said that was the usual size. Similarly , the salmon I ordered for 28 .oo was... More

Excellent venue for our group of 20. Everything was well coordinated and planned; service and food was timed perfectly; service was friendly and attentive (thank you Adam!). The food was outstanding: everything was fresh and local, nothing was overdone or overseasoned. The salad was one of the best I've ever had in a restaurant (fresh greens with goat cheese). The... Too bad is all I can say. We went last night for my husband's birthday. We got there early and sat in the bar and the service was so bad we decided to leave and go to our favorite spot Z'Tejas for dinner. We got there about 5p and the place was not yet busy. The bartenders acted like it... More

The chef has special selections everyday. The ingredients are fresh. The staff is excellent. We enjoyed our quiet evening with friends.

What's good--the charming patio seating, the luscious golden beet soup, the flourless chocolate cake and their lovely presentations. Also, in January they offer 1/3 off on selected wines; great bargain. Biggest problem--why ever would any knowledgable chef mix lovely French creations like smooth, delicate foie gras sautéd just right with grainy, strong tamale? Almost every dish had something Mexican associated... More

I have been eating here for years, but I recently ate here during Restaurant Week and I was not impressed. So I decided to give them another try for lunch instead. It's a convenient location if you work around Mill Avenue. I had the meatloaf and it was very good. I have to give it better marks than my previous... More

No tricks at the House of Tricks - just excellent service, pleasant outdoor seating, and a menu with tasty temptations. The name of the restaurant comes from the last name of the owners: Tricks. This restaurant is set in a charming century old cottage with tons of outdoor seating and a large outdoor bar, A birthday party was going on... More

Found this place today on foursquare. The reviews are correct. Great food, super service, cool casual atmosphere. The food is reasonably priced (lunch) for being so darn good and slightly pretentious. I had the grilled pork (spicy is an understatement) on a tamale. Usually comes with a fried egg (no thanks). It was incredible. Business associate has the French dip... More
