Villa Peru is a casual, friendly with excellent food. We ate ceviche, seafood soup and aji de Gallina. Each dish was well executed and tasty. The ceviche in particular was clean and fresh tasting. Try something different and go here. Generous portions, so you can easily split some of the dishes. Nice folks serving food too.

We decided to try this little place in Tempe as there are no other "real" Peruvian places as the one on North Scottsdale went out of business? This is why Phoenix does not have a good re for "culture" ..it seems we just do not thave the population that is diverse enough to support a myraid of restaurants outside of... More

Our favorite Peruvian restaurant went out of business so we decided to give this one a try. The ambiance is not as Peruvian as we thought it would be. The waiters (sons of the owner and chef) could be a bit more attentive and practice better memory skills for taking orders or bringing requested items. However, who cares about any... More

We tried a couple of dishes by takeout, so I really can't comment on the dining experience. The dishes we picked up were the Corderito Chiclayano (lamb shank), and Seco de Carne Frjoles (beef). Flavours of both dishes were very good, and I really liked the canary beans that were one of the sides. The beef wasn't quite as tender... More

My wife is Peruvian so we search for good Peruvian food. This place is tucked in and a little hard to see from the street. I gave them average for service because our entrees were delivered to our table 5 minutes apart. The ceviche was good and very spicy. I also had a shrimp soup that was tasty along with... More

The food here was different, but I wouldn't say it was super flavorful. The atmosphere was just okay. We were at the one in north Tempe though not the Scottsdale location. No one else was in the restaurant on a Friday night around 7.

Food was excellent!!! The place was very clean and the hostess gave great service. My wife was served her entree before the appetizer came and I was served after everyone, but it was worth it. The hostess took the time to explain things and that was a great help in the choices that we made.

I was intrugued driving by Villa Peru everyday, and my wife and I finally decided to give it a try. What a treat! The food was different (not Mexican, Peruvian!!), but recognizable, very tasty, and it seems to be very healthy. The staff was quite accomodating and friendly. We are oftern saddened that it seems like there aren't many people... More

Tonight I enjoyed my first ever Peruvian meal. Our waiter took time to explain the dishes and even showed us the purple corn used for the chicha beverage and mazamorra morada. We did not mind not having wine with our dinner because everything was so scrumptious. Both the lomo saltado de carne and seco de carne con frijoles were wonderful.... More

Our hotel was only two blocks away and we had read the reviews on Tripadvisor. In addition, our hotel had a coupon for a free fountain drink. We learned that it is under new management since August of 2011 and there may have been a few changes in the menu. Our hostess was expecting her first baby in January. Since... More
