Because of the nice temperature I was able to eat in the patio. They have several "seviches" in their menu (careful the Peruvian "seviches" are very different from the Mexican ones). . All are very god. I had this time the less expensive one that it is also my favorite the "tiradito". Is my... read more

This is the worst restaurant I have ever experienced as theirs is 1. Peruvian food is not seasoned with soy sauce. 2. The items are totally misrepresented. One item was supposed to have chicken, pork & meat. All that was included was potatoes & beans 3. The chicken (arroz con pollo) was dry and the vegetables were not fresh but... More

We went for lunch and it turned out the waiter is also the cook. This one man show is overpriced, small portions, and food is misrepresented. The lamb shank is a questionable meat and not a lamb shank. There is a strong push by the owner to drink pisco. If you like peruvian food- go elsewhere! He had the TV... More

We had an errand near 64th Street & McDowell, and when that was done, were looking for brunch. This turned up on Travel Advisor, and I talked my husband into it. We got there about 11:45. and there was a big banner on the window by the front door indicating breakfast/brunch was served till 1:00. Bingo, we thought. When my... More

We are going to Machu Picchu in 2016 and wanted to check out the Peruvian food for my wife. I had been before and Villa Peru is like being in Lima. The famous potato dishes for an appetizer is a must. My wife had the ceviche and I had the Lomo Saltado de Carne which were great shares and wonderful.... More

My husband purchased a Groupon for this restaurant. Neither he nor I had ever had Peruvian food, so on a Friday night, we drove out to Tempe and went to Villa Peru. The restaurant was not very busy and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu items. For an appetizer, we had the "Yuquitas Doradas". It was... More

The food is outstanding, the service excellent. The owner/chef- Walter came out and talked with us and invited us to the Ceveche Festival.

Lunch with family took me to Villa Peru (1857 North Scottsdale Road, Tempe, AZ 85281). This first experience with delectable Peruvian food was guided by a special guest, also a native of Lima, Peru. For appetizers we enjoyed Anticucho de Corazon (grilled beef heart with golden brown potatoes and a specialty yellow sauce), Ceviche De Pescado (white fish seasoned and... More

I started with the ceviche, which they were nice enough to do and a half portion appetizer for me. The fish was fresh, and that was just the right amount of acid and spice in the dish. I then went on to the lomo, where the soy sauce was a little heavy. I wish they'd had alpaca. The rice and... More

Is very rear to find in the menu of a restaurant hearts, livers and kidneys preparations. Most chefs they do not even know how to start for realizing good dishes with those ingredients. Villa Peru' is an exception. They have in the menu a typical Peruvian preparation of beef hearth call ANTICUCHOS DE CORAZON. Is what I had today. They... More
