A little taste of Peru

I started with the ceviche, which they were nice enough to do and a half portion appetizer for me. The fish was fresh, and that was just the right amount of acid and spice in the dish. I then went on to the lomo, where the soy sauce was a little heavy. I wish they'd had alpaca. The rice and... read more

Is very rear to find in the menu of a restaurant hearts, livers and kidneys preparations. Most chefs they do not even know how to start for realizing good dishes with those ingredients. Villa Peru' is an exception. They have in the menu a typical Peruvian preparation of beef hearth call ANTICUCHOS DE CORAZON. Is what I had today. They... More

This is a family establishment with modest but warm service and ambiance. The food, however, is just amazing. Best ceviche I have ever had (see photo). Fish was delicious and the spicy lime sauce it was cooked in was refined yet paradoxically gracefully brooding; the large, white corn side was pretty special, too, as was the Peruvian fruit ice cream... Small family owned. Enjoyed our meal here. Started off with anticuchos meat skewers. Very tasty. Accompanying green sauce was extremely spicy but not needed. Pescado a la menier was also delicious but didn't think much of either the accompanying mixed vegetables or french fries. Vegetarian tacu tacu was our favorite dish. Finished off with a large double scoop of helado... More

The food here is authentic. My wife is Peruvian and she loves it. The service is a little slow and its pricey but if you want authentic Peruvian food, you wont be disappointed.

I joined two friends who had an expired groupon coupon for dinner at Villa Peru. Had trouble finding it in the mini mall but they had several vegetarian options on the menu. The taste was bland but it was the first time I had Peruvian food. My friends enjoyed their meals: chicken with rice and seafood platter. Was a quiet... More

We knew we'd come back to Villa Peru and unfortunately we might not be back. We found a deal on Living Social. It promised quite a deal. We went on a Tuesday night so it was not busy. We had even called as requested for the Living Social deal. Too bad we weren't told while on the phone that they... More
