Again, another very nice Mexican Restaurant

We and some friends dined last night at The Rio Mirage in Surprise. All of us were very happy with the meals we ordered and were served. We were seated immediately when we entered their front door. They took our drink order and showed up with it pretty quickly. We then placed our food order and... read more

I prefer the original place in El Mirage. The newer one is in Surprise and I have not eaten there. Took 2 friends from Seattle to lunch and we all enjoyed the Chili Rellenos the best! I like that they have Mariachi music on Friday nights....very popular place...gets very crowded on the weekend evenings. Worth the wait.

Went twice in the last week, the second time because it was so good the first. We had a big crowd both visits we had nine The food is much more Mexican than restaurants in New Jersey. The food was terrific. I hate cilantro and the cilantro was optional in all but the salsa. The portions were generous (several in... More

Hits the spot when I need the Mexican food fix. The shrimp fajitas are great. Love the enchiladas and tacos. Beans are actually cooked fresh. Good chips and salsa. You can't go wrong with the lunch specials, happy hour and Wednesday Margarita day special. We are there once a week, at least. Great service and friendly staff.

Based on a recommendation from the Residence Inn that we were staying at, we headed to Rio at around 6:00 on a Sunday night. There were just two of us and we got in fright away. The wait staff took good care of us, brought and later refilled chips and salsa for us. The Mexican dishes were ordered were Americanized,... More

This is an average Mexican Restaurant with nice decor and a variety of menu items. The service was a little slow and we had to ask other waiters and manager (?) for napkins and refills. The parking lot is very small so during their busy times expect to park on the neighborhood street around the corner or next to the... More

We were introduced to this well known place for dinner with friends and found it quite good but not exceptional in any way. The location, decor, service and food are all good. The margaritas were grande. In my opinion the food had an attractively Americanized sense to it that did not improve on the authentic standard. My entree was the... More

We went here expecting traditional Mexican cuisine with real Mexican style tacos. This is not that place. It's Americanized Mexican food. Nothing special; nothing bad.

Fresh, good tasting food at a reasonable price. Great service! Will return with family and friends. Many items on the menu we want to try, lunch specials and a bar we did not try but with margaritas ready made.
