Even though it is a chain, it doesn't feel like one. The soups, salads, pastas, and sandwiches are all fresh and tasty. It is nice to be in a place that welcomes Bible Study Groups to come sit and be in the word. They do not pressure you to order food while you are there, but once you taste it,... More

My mother was looking for ham or pastrami sandwiches, but they only had steak and turkey, so she settled for steak, and when I tried some of it, the cheese (looked like cheddar) tasted smoked, while the steak tasted a little raw. But my green smoothie, as it is called, was predominantly kale and yet tasted very much like a... More

Love the fresh food at Paradise. We especially like to stop at the airport for sandwiches (and a free cookie) when we are flying at a mealtime. Sooo much better than purchasing food on the plane. Can't miss with the turkey and cranberry sauce!!

The best part was a group of 80 year olds playing cards and lounging. They were funny and sweet. Clean, enjoyable. Good for kids and seemingly groups of the retired variety.

Everything is made fresh while you watch. The chicken Cobb salad is my favorite. Lots of protein and low in calories.

I couldn't say its the very best meal I've ever had in a restaurant but I go back frequently and that says a lot.

Paradise Bakers USED to be a first rate restaurant with good food. I patronized Paradise Bakery in downtown Portland, OR for years. But the Surprise Paradise Bakery is terrible - food is not good, salads are old lettuce, and the place is dirty.

We like this place for its consistency in providing good, healthy and fresh food at very reasonable prices. It is very similar to Panera's. We had the turkey chili and Thai salad and Asian sesame salads, along with oatmeal raisin and chocolate chip walnut cookies. Everything was very fresh, tasty and filling. Ordering is easy, although there's a little confusion... More

Salads and other ingredients are very fresh. Cafeteria style. Establishment is clean and the service is fast.

When we go to Paradise Bakery, we know that we will have a consistent meal...soups good, salads excellent, everything tasty. It is worthwhile to time your meal either a bit before or after the lunch rush. We found it a bit irritating to be waiting in a certain area when others had employees waiting for customers. Eventually they caught on... More
