Terrific bistro on the west end

French trained chefs prepare wonderful evening meals. Brief menu but good variety. No liquor, so bring a bottle of wine and they provide corking service. If you go for Sunday breakfast you must try their eggs Benedict.

The food was good there - good menu - high prices - but the dining location was terrible - our table had a view of the kitchen and others had a great view of a hot parking lot. Looks like eat in dining was an afterthought. Suggest you go to Vogue Bistro instead if you need a good restaurant in... More

Amuse Bouche is small, a refreshing change from the norm. The menu is limited, but it's one reason the place appeals to me. I prefer not to have to study a menu. The descriptions are brief and to-the-point but sufficient to make a decision. My first visit was for lunch and I tried the Meatloaf Sandwich. Mouthwatering. Beyond my normal... More

One Sunday brunch and three dinners later , we have concluded that this place is vastly overrated. Food and service are just ok. Perhaps the rating is a reflection of the far West Valley of Phoenix being a vast restaurant wasteland. I don't know , but we now make the almost one hour trek to Scottsdale whenever we eat dinner... Unpretentious and small, but great food. Limited menu but well prepared. Appetizers of pate and hummus excellent. Never had a bad meal there. Wait staff is uneven. It is a BYOB restaurant and the bottle has to be sealed.

I have heard and read the raves for years. Not particularly interested in French cuisine and fighting the crowds during the "season," we finally decided to go on a slow Friday night: July 3, 2015. Although there was only one other couple in the whole place, we waited 30 minutes for our entre. Seating was uncomfortable and the table for... More

We went there on mothers Day. Had a reservation but had to wait over an hour before being seated. The wait staff was poor as was the silverware and paper napkins. Food was so so but poorly presented. For the price...it should have been better. perhaps it was due due the holiday but I won't go back to find out.

So tired of going to the local chain restaurants for weekend breakfast we opted for Amuse Bouche. Wow ! It is so nice to have a great tasting breakfast in a small family run café in Surprise, AZ. The food was great, the wait staff was friendly and attentive, and it had a nice atmosphere.

I have had lunch at this neighborhood bistro once each year since it opened. It has been consistently good in an area where the norm is chain restaurants and average quality food. I particularly enjoy the hamburger or the meat loaf sandwich. My friend and I always split a bread pudding. It is a fabulous dessert and a generous portion... More

Visited Amuse Bouche for dinner (50th wedding anniversary). The good news was that the salads (Salade Vert @ $4.50 and the Salade Bleu @ $6.00) were excellent. Unfortunately, the entrees (Shrimp @ $24.00 and Hangar Steak @ $26.00) were drowned in a sauce that contained too much butter and too much salt. The chef offered to prepare another shrimp entree...
