We took a trip out to Boyce Arboretum and made the mistake of stopping here for lunch. The companies the supply school cafeterias and prisons with their foods must also supply this restaurant. Government cheese on everything. My whole family was sick the next day.

We planned to get breakfast here before visiting the Arboretum, so we called yesterday and asked, "What time do you open tomorrow?" and were informed that they opened at 6:00 AM. This morning, we arrived around 8:00, only to be greeted by a closed restaurant and a sign taped to the door saying, "Happy Thanksgiving. Will reopen Friday at 6:00... More

Traveling home from Phoenix, we wondered upon this little place and stopped for breakfast. It looked fascinating, as the sign stated "Buckboard City Cafe. Home of the world's smallest museum." The place seemed well maintained and looked nice for a small town cafe. There were several cars in the parking lot so we assumed the locals must like it, so... More

Hmm well it looked like a nice western stop for breakfast and it does have the World's Smallest Museum right next door, so gave it a try. Very disappointed. Place seemed confused, though they seemed to have nice patient customers. The place was rather odd. They ran out of biscuits... at breakfast... and had to have people wait 14 no... More

I had breakfast here several times during the week. The food was always fresh and cooked well. I tried their eggs, sausage, bacon, ham, hashbrowns, toast and pancakes. All were excellent.

We walked over from the RV park next door. The food was good; the dining room decorated with interesting collectibles; our waitress was very sweet. We toured the World's Smallest Museum on our way back. It was a lovely way to start the day.

Clean restaurant with charming decorations that reflect the local mining history. We were able to relax while our breakfast was prepared. The waitress paid attention to refilling coffee in a timely matter. She made sure we had everything we needed. The portions were good sized and fresh. The biscuits were fluffy. My omelet had a lot of ham and tasted... More

Don't know how long this place has been there but the locals often eat at Buckboard. Service is typical for an old town cafe they are not in a hurry. This means that you can enjoy your meal without being pushed out. They have a good size menu whether you want breakfast or lunch. This is my second time at... More

Worst ever.... Never never have I been treated so rudely, or had worse food. I'm not sure where they learned to cook, but the food tastes like rubber, and made my whole family sick. Drive down the road, or even go to the gas station... Anywhere is better then this place
