After living in Germany for six years, I have been looking for a restaurant that really knows how to make genuine German foods. we found a few good ones over the years, but The German Cafe outshines them all.

We were there during the hurricane that came through the area in October 2014. We went to the restaurant for dinner and found a quant small restaurant. It was cozy with a terrific waitress. The food was great. I have been to Germany and Austria a number of times. This food brought back some good memories. I can't describe how... More

The German Cafe is a little place once featured by the television show “Arizona Highways”. Between that and great rating on Trip Advisor, we recommend you start dinner early if your heart is set on authentic German fare. The cafe is small having five booths and about six tables. The place was almost full before 6 PM. Tuesday night is... More

The restaurant is small and quaint, but the food is tasty. Although I have never experience a long wait, I would not recommend having a large group of people or event at this restaurant.

We went to the German Café the weekend BEFORE Valentine's Day and arrived around 6:30. By about 7:30 we were finally seated, and our order was taken. Then about 15 minutes later, the poor waitress had to come out and tell the entire restaurant there was no schnitzel. (Remember this is a "German" restaurant.) What kind of restaurant runs out... We were so disappointed with the food and service here. We had reservations but still had to wait about a half hour to be seated. Then we waited another half hour for the waitress to take our drink and dinner order. After waiting some more, the waitress came to tell us that they were all out of schnitzel - which is... More

We have eaten at this restaurant when visiting Sierra Vista several times and always at a great German meal. However, this past Friday evening was the exception. The small cafe was full so we expected some wait for our food, but we did not expect a 1 hour and 15 minute wait. A table near us left after 1 hour... More

My wife and I ate lunch there and it was very good and authentic. I ate the pork schnitzel with a bell pepper and tomato gravy. Sides of German potato salad and coleslaw. My wife ate a chicken schnitzel with the same gravy and sides. Service was friendly and efficient.
