Very good food.

Instead of the usual German food, which we do like, we decided to go for the Potato Pancake Reuben, because we: 1) love Reubens, 2) love Potato Pancakes. Good choice as it turned out. You cannot possibly pick them up to eat as a sandwich, so we used a knife and fork. The horseradish sauce in... read more

I first found out about this place on yelp looking for a good place to eat. This place immediately caught my eye when I saw the food. My wife and I went there for lunch. Looking back, I don't remember what we had but I can say that it was excellent. Not very many places can leave me feeling comfortably... More

The food here is fantastic!! The onion cream schnitzel and potato pancakes will make you go into a happy, happy food coma. One of the best treats this place has to offer is the ever revolving selection of desserts - I recommend trying them all! Don't expect lightning fast service, plan to sit and enjoy your meal and you won't... More

Okay, so I did say (in my last review two years ago) that we would never be back, but the craving for potato pancakes got the best of me, and yesterday (1/22), we drove down to Sierra Vista, and snuck back into The German Café. The atmosphere has not changed at all, and that is so delightful. I had the... More

Went there with 4 friends. Three of us had been there before and wanted to go back. We had reservations and our table was ready. Unfortunately we arrived hungry and anticipating another good meal. While we were offered drinks right away and our order was taken, we waited and waited and waited for over an hour to get our meal.... More

We have been to all three of the German restaurants in Sierra Vista. By leaps and bounds the German Cafe wins! Great value for your money and very authentic food. We love to take a little trip down memory lane each time we visit the German cafe. There are lots of great German food items including terrific sides (cucumber salad,... More

While in returning to Prescott Valley, Arizona after an RV road trip to Galveston, Texas, we made a two night stopover in Sierra Vista, Arizona to see old friends. We saw a blurb about the German Cafe in Sierra Vista on the Arizona Highways TV show and decided to treat our friends to dinner there. It's a tiny place in... More

Good selection of my German food favorites, but not as good as other places in Sierra Vista (like the Breadbasket or Angelika's) The decor is very good, but they lack that care in preparation, gemuetlichkeit, and friendly flair of a real southern German restaurant. This cuisine is OK, but I'd still prefer one of the other places in town.
