I'd wait an hour, but not 2 1/2

Friends who had been in Sedona a month before recommended Elote during our stay in March. They do not take reservations. We went over one evening at about 7:40, having gotten off the hiking trail late and hungry. We were told there would be a 2 1/2 hour wait, so we said, "No, thanks", with about... read more

Elote was actually our major draw to Sedona, which it turns out is actually a fantastic city to visit. We had been warned about the wait and the line and prepared to put our names down and return 2 hours later. We were there in March, so somewhat off-season and arrived to a line of close to 100 people at... More

Like others have said, you can expect a long wait to dine at Elote. We got there around 6pm and had to wait for an hour and a half. I wouldn't normally wait that long but having read all the reviews, I wanted to give it a try. After waiting 90 minutes, we were finally called up but they only... More

The best restaurant in Sedona! Three seperate people told us to eat here. Wow, delicious ! You will probably have to wait 1 hour. Get a drink and wait, its worth it! Loved the food and could not recommend it more highly. Try the Elote (corn) starter with chips.... yummy. Treat yourself.... its delicious! P.S. I even bought the Chef's... More

Weird procedure for making reservations. Everyone says to get to the restaurant between 4:30 & 4:45. You can get your name on a list for your reservation. My husband went and waited in a long line and finally decided to leave. The restaurant opens at 5:00 pm. Locals recommend getting reservations for Elote Cafe, but I think it is too... More

We went to Elote during a previous visit to Sedona and were very impressed so, of course, we had to give it another shot. We went early so we didn't have to wait to be seated. Wait staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. They were gracious enough to exchange my specialty margarita for a regular one when it didn't "float... More

This restaurant was so well recommended that we made a special point of eating there during our 3 day trip. We waited about an hour for a table and I know that others waited longer (they do not take reservations). The presentation was nice, but the veggie dish had too many nuts, the chips and salsa was so-so and the... More

Went to this restaurant because the talk around town said it was a must eat at place. It was also right on the property where we were staying. They do not take reservations so when we got there at 7:30 we were told that it was a 2 hour and 15 min wait. We decides to wait with the many... More

The elote! New Mexican food. Service, food, margaritas--all good. We ordered too much and should have had the small plates.

They don't take reservations and their menu is very limited. They open at 5 and the line starts forming around 4. We had been told the day prior that you can dine with your pup on the patio. We dutifully stood in line for 40 minutes and when it was our turn to be seated they told us the patio... More
