We ate at the Oaxaca on June 27, 2009 and actually had a pretty decent experience. The wait staff was average, a little disorganized maybe, but not bad service. The food was delicious. We did order the chips and salsa at a cost of $3.50 but both chips and salsa were very tasty. Maybe a little high priced for Mexican... more

On three day holiday for 5 of us, we went to Oaxaca. Should be OxSucka. The mexican food was bland, paid extra for chips and salsa. They were good.. The shimp taco was good. But everyone elses was awful and left on the plates. I was there two years ago, and I remembered it as being ok. The decor resembles... more

We live in Arizona and take all of our guests to Sedona. Here are the reasons I do not like Oaxaca Restaurant: 1. They don't bother to tell you that chips and salsa (before your meal, which is a staple of all Mexican restaraunts) will not be forthcoming unless you fork over an additional $3.50 per basket. I've NEVER seen... more

Our party of 4 had lunch there in March 09 and the food was excellent. The decor is a friendly easygoing southwest and the chairs were very comfy. The food is pretty much all your standard southwest fare. The chips and salsa we had to tide us over til the real food came were freshly made and very tasty. If... more

Back in April of 2008 my mom, sister, her bf, and my fiance went to oaxaca's for lunch. The food was actually(I thought) very good. Monday(March 16th) my mom, dad, aunt, my fiance, and I were in Sedona and decided to eat there because we liked it last time. Big mistake! My dad is in a wheelchair and my fiance... more

I was so prepared for this trip but forgot to read any reviews on the restaurants. Unfortunately, we ate at Oaxaca without reading the reviews on this site. Our food was below average, the chips were good but we had to ask for them 3 times until they came after the food arrived, the staff did not seem to care... more

Our family came to Sedona to relax. BUT..... we went to this restraunt and the service was terrible. The waitress was on something... she ran around the place but really didn`t get anything done. We had to find another waitress to find our waitress. My quesadilla was absolutely terrible, I mean, you can go to your local grocery store and... more

Oaxaca used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Sedona, but the last time I went, it had changed. The location is great -- right in the middle of Uptown's shopping area -- and the views are some of the best. The food quality has dropped from good to average or below. But, what hurts the restaurant the most... more

Oaxaca was our first stop in our first visit to Sedona. It was a perfectly awful experience. The service was slow, perfuctory and condecending. When the food finally arrived, it was bland, soggy and anything but fresh. During the meal, the waitress totally forgot about us until she brought the bill. Then she forgot us again. Stay far away from... more

You would think it would be easy to find a good restaurant on the main drag in Sedona but the Oaxaca is not the one. Everything felt sticky and icky. The salt and pepper shakers, the capless hot sauce, tablecloth. We left hoping we wouldn't pick up the "Sedona Flu" if you catch my drift. Service was rushed but okay... more
