Better places to stay

Second time staying at this place, so it's my fault for returning. It's under new management and a timeshare property -- very different than my first visit 18 months ago. Will not be returning for my own personal reasons.

We love Los Abrigados in beautiful Sedona, AZ. The resort is very quaint and charming and in the heart of everything within walking distance of dining and shopping in Sedona. You will love it!

Los Abrigados is a perfect location, located at the junction of Hwys 17 & 89 in Sedona. It's set back from the main road so you don't hear or see any traffic, but you can still walk into town and restaurants. The pool area was nicely kept and not too busy but I could see it getting crowded on a... More

The grounds and amenities were great, especially enjoyed the Pig Garden and the giant chess board. There is a pool and hot tub, but we didn't use. However, we were told the bedroom in the unit would have two double beds. It did not, had one King instead. One of our party was to sleep on the sofa sleeper. However,... More

Our experience here was very mixed. The hotel architecture is a beautiful Mexican Colonial style. The entire Tlaquepaque complex surrounding it looks as if it were lifted directly out of the Mexico City neighborhood of San Angel--quaint and lovely. The grounds are well maintained, with cobblestone walkways leading to unexpected corridors of small shops, galleries, restaurants and winding paths through... More

We stayed in Sedona for 3 nights here. Were in a one bedroom. Found our room to be dark, but there were large flat screen TVs in living room and bedroom. Couch and bedroom head board dated but beds/pillows comfy. Kitchen had granite and newer dishes/appliances... Location was great, walkable to shops/restaurants, central area. Internet was free, but unable to... More

Dated rooms, unfriendly staff, terrible beds and horrible parking. Skip the place and stay at a hotel at least no timeshare sale will be pushed down your throat.

This resort has recently changed hands, and I fully expect Diamond Resorts Int'l to fully restore it to prominence. As it is, the location is top notch, the lobby and amenities are fabulous, but our studio room was not comfortable, well-worn, and needs to be "diamondized", and it will be. We will be back in a couple of years.

While staying at the Resort we ate in the Club/Restaurant twice. Not only was it convenient, service staff, atmosphere, food and price were all an EXCELLENT value. Loved it.

We loved our unit, which consisted of two bedrooms, two bathrooms a living room and an efficient kitchen. What a great location, just adjacent to Tlaquepaque, and also Garland's Trading Post. Also we were in walking distance to the Hummingbird Cottage, a fun store cluttered with all sorts of gift items. The staff at Los Abrigados were professional and eager... More
