Rene's is a romantic continental fine dining experience. We both saved our "birthday dinner" night on our trip to have at Rene's. A little pricey, but worth it. All the food is very good to excellent. It is also known in Fodor's for their French Onion Soup and flaming desserts. Of course, the... read more

I brought my visiting family from France here based upon the TripAdvisor ratings. We waited 15 minutes to receive menus, we ordered and waited another 45 minutes for the food to arrive. The entire time they were promoting wine or alcoholic beverages. After dinner, we had to ask to see a dessert tray and were pretty much ignored the whole... More

My wife had decided to visit Arizona to celebrate our 40th anniversary. That decision led us to Sedona. Prior to our arrival, we researched high and low about the area. One of the factors was finding the right spot to celebrate our anniversary with fine dining. We came upon, Rene. The location was also ideal as it was a mere... More

The Tlaquepaque shopping area is very nice. Lots of art shops, fountains, outdoor sculpture, etc. Pleasant and quiet. The Rene Restaurant is very good, but on the pricey side. I had eggs Benedict, which were quite good. My wife had a salad. For lunch, the cost is reasonable. For dinner, prepare to pay more.

The restaurant itself is quite charming and the service was superior. The food was very good, but not superb or exceptional. The bread was fresh and enjoyable. We found our soup to be only lukewarm and the salad had a unique dressing that we didn't really enjoy. It was really more about the experience and ambience for us. The prices... More

I ask myself "why do people who totally enjoyed Rene give 4 star ratings instead of 5?" I didn't see anything in their reviews to warrant such a rating.. However, who am I to say anything, I probably do the same with other reviews.. Sorry for the sidetrack. My wife & I had just spent the day hiking the Bell... More
