Description: Despite the name, Cafe Jose serves good old-fashioned home style cooking. It is a classic American diner which also happens to serve good Mexican food. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served all day. Cafe Jose is a favorite spot for local residents. It has won the local award for the past several years for "Best Home Cooking," "Best Breakfast," "Best Family Dining." "Friendliest Wait Staff," and "Best Overall Bargain." The food is not fancy, but it is tasty and served with a smile. The portions are large, but meals are priced to fit anyone's budget.

Once we ordered the food came fairly fast. Seemed one guy was doing most of the work, greeting, cleaning tables etc. Tamales were tasty and served hot, hubby had chili roleno which was pretty average. There must be a better Mexican restaurant in the area.

We spent a week in Sedona, and wound up eating here three times - two breakfasts and a dinner. Cafe Jose is not fancy, nor is it a dive. Nothing fancy, just good food at reasonable prices (a rarity in Sedona). Huevos Rancheros is my fav for breakfast. Usually 3 specials for dinner nightly, with a solid regular menu.

We stopped here for breakfast on our last day in Sedona and we wished we were staying longer to try lunch and dinner! The breakfast we had was outstanding! The service was excellent! Everyone was very friendly attentive.

This is where all the locals go to eat. Friendly staff and good food. For a price that can't be beat any place else. There omelettes are terrific.

We looked forward to our meal after reading others' reviews. Husband was happy with his chile relleno (poblano, not green)) and would go back again to try something else. My cheese enchiladas were not as hot as they should've been which made the cheese not as hot and melted as it should've been, so I was disappointed. Service was good.... More

My absolute FAVORITE place for breakfast in Sedona. I actually crave the Huevos Garcia and have it every time I go! We have eaten there for lunch and dinner as well and the food was just as good.

We always went to the Coffee Pot. Then some one said to try Jose. We have been there many times, the always great food. The staff was there to greet us. We will be back every time we get to Sedona.
