Great food, charge for the rice?

Maybe it's because we're from out of town, but being charged for Basmati was weird for us. Other than that, the eggplant dish and the Tikka Mahi was delicious and the service was great!

We where reluctant to go here after we checked Trip Advisor and found there had been food poisening here, we spoke to the family and they explained it was taken over by a new family and the problem what had happened before, we where happy with that and gave it a go, we ordered mixed starters that was lovely and... When we arrived it was quite busy. Service was great. Family run restaurant. Starters were hot and tasty. Main was tasty but could have been more spicy, I asked for medium hot. I wondered if it was because they tempered the heat for palates not used to spices. The naans were very tasty and the rice was enough to feed... More

I wish I could distinguish more of the many flavors we experienced, both spicy and not, for my readers. However, we ordered two sampler platters that were extremely reasonable in price. Each was delivered with a multitude of appetizing and contrasting tastes. The serving sizes were so abundant that we had an additional night’s feast, with what we took back... More

We were there for lunch and decided to order from the menu; probably a mistake as the portions were on the small side and did not include rice. The buffet is definitely a better deal as it offers "all you can eat" for a set amount (the same price as a menu item).

They close their lunch at 2:30. We showed exactly at that time and they were more than willing to let us stay. It was a small lunch buffet, but some of the best Indian cuisine I have had. The price was amazingly reasonable, especially for this area. They did not rush us and were extremely courteous!

The reviewer "ItinerantBrit" was in the minority so I discounted that review, but it's spot on. We were here on a Saturday night, when you would think their best staff would be on hand. We ordered veg pakoras, samosas, (two orders of) saag paneer, chai, plain naan, and mango lassis. The complimentary pappadum had been prepared ahead of time and... More

Very disappointing. The food was not very fresh -- onion bhajis and pakoras had been fried for at least the second time. Indian food is typically very salty, but this was really ridiculous -- large additional amounts of salt had been sprinkled on top of the food.

This is the best restaurant we have eaten at in Sedona, the others have been tourist traps that were not very good. Authentic, spicy upon request and so flavorful. The owner was present and very active in making sure everyone was happy.

This was refreshing as we were having a hard time finding a good restaurant. We went to the One that Starts with an E (it has over one hour waiting lists, every night we were there). We did wait and found it over-rated. Then we decided to go to the Indian Food place. The server (who might have been the... More
