I had dinner with a group of friends. The food was good, but it took an inordinately long time to order and then receive the food.
I recently visited Mastro's on a Saturday evening & the restaurant was jam-packed. Our party of 6 was seated at a large rectangular table in a crowded, noisey room. I could have easily joi ned the conversation at the next table, except that the noise level was so high. You could bearing hear the person beside you -- group discussions... More
Mastro's is a fantastic restaurant. One of the best meals I've ever had was here. It is expensive, but it's worth every penny. The service is as good as the food. The portions for the sides and the desserts are huge. This would be a great choice for a special occasion dinner.
Best service in Valley for sure. Great waiter, buss person (best I have seen in awhile), and, the steak, the bone in filet just melted in my mouth. Also, that was the largest baked potatoe I have seen in awhile with all the trimmings. It was so much food we could not eat all of it, so we had them... More
We were so excited to try out this highly talked about spot. Being newer to the Troon area and asking others where to go, this place has come up multiple times. Plus it's high ranking here on TA had us excited to try it out. We went in on a Friday night in a great mood & looking forward to... More
Hubby and I both had filet steaks, one bone-in and rare and one without the bone and medium rare. Both were cooked perfectly, the flavor and texture were absolutely divine, and were served on plates so hot that the meat was warm through the last exquisite bite. Ari was our lead server and he struck exactly the right balance of... More
Fab food I love going with a group and sharing entree I also love love their brunch and they are almost ready to start brunch again
There is a difference between going out to dinner to a restaurant and going to dinner at a five-star restaurant like Mastro's. This was a dining experience. Before you head out to Mastro's, please make a reservation. And make sure you have the funds because a full dinner for two is easily at least $200 on the cheap, because this... More
Visited Mastro's Steakhouse in Scottsdale last week - the food was excellent! It was the one of the best steaks I've ever had. Ordered the chopped salad, bottle of red wine, garlic mashed potatoes, mushrooms, and the tenderloin steak. Steak was delicious, done to perfection and it melted in my mouth. The side orders were all excellent as well. There... More
The whole experience was fantastic. The ambiance is great, the waitress was excellent and then there was the food. Their steak is great, but I could argue that most high end steakhouses have great steak. It is the sides that, for me, really set one apart from another. Lobster mash potatoes...nothing short of amazing. The creamed corn, fantastic - and... More
