Enjoyable Lunch - flavorful

We were visiting the area in February and this place was close to where we were staying. We went at lunch time and happened to hit a slow day. Service was very good and the food was quite good. Very authentic flavors and presentation. My wife and I both really enjoyed our meals. We would... read more

Wow. Such wonderful flavors--truly delicious food served in a comfortable and attractive setting by some of the most skilled and professional staff i have had the pleasure of being served by in many years. We were warmly welcomed when we entered and asked if we had a table preference. We asked to be away from the overhead fans and he... More

This restaurant had been one of our favorites places to dine in Phoenix/Scottsdale for the past 20 years, but last night was the LAST TIME we'll come here. Let's see, where do I start? We had to return the mussels because they were just plain bad. You could tell they had been frozen for a time, and they just lacked... More

A nice find in Scottsdale for Cuban cuisine. I had the tostones and the bistek encebollado with moros and maduros. All was flavorful and the portions were ample.

My wife and I both decided on different chicken dishes, and they were both overcooked and tough. The rice and black beans were so-so with very little spice or flavor. Definitely will not be going back there,

I moved to Phoenix from the east coast about 3 years ago. I knew after reading other reviews that I couldn't be to critical but I have to say that the food was just eh. Something I ate that was suppose to be mofongo was a bit runny. Rice had way to much coloring and was salty.. I had the... More

It was just ok. $15 for a sandwich with very little meat was expensive. Probably will not return. The mojito had way too much mint.

Good caipirinha. Loved the crispy pork morsels Rice pudding was nothing special. Service was good, if sometimes a tad slow.

Decided to try this venue rather than driving down to their other restaurant on Camelback. We figured we'd have a better chance of being seated here because the other venue is quite small. There is also ample parking. At around 7PM the place started filling up. We were pleasantly surprised at the amount of space this restaurant had. It was... More
