Diluted tequila and cold, stale tortilla chips

The patio is picturesque and quite pleasant. Unfortunately, the food is so so, the chips and salsa less than ordinary, the margaritas weak and made with bar mix (even though we asked for an authentic drink made with lime juice). The server was surly and pouted when we refused to pay for the drink... read more

I just wasn't impressed with their food. The chips with the salsa were very bland. The salsa was just okay. The rice and beans with the dinner were dry. I had an enchilada, a pork tamale (with very little pork actually in it), and a shredded beef taco, which had soaked through the shell so much it was mush and... More

We were just in Scottsdale over last weekend and this place was recommended to us by several people telling us that it has the best Mexican food, so we decided to try it. Eating at a lot of "Mexican" restaurants in San Francisco and Los Angeles, I had a lot of places to compare it to. I found the service... More

Filled with locals even though in the touristy area. Not fancy but good authentic Mexican food. Chips and salsa were excellent with fresh ingredients and lots of cilantro.

...from the service, to the food, to the decor, Frank and Lupe's is one of those places that is the antithesis of the chain experience - a family-run place, interested in serving delicious quality food which feels like a 'local neighbourhood' experience. We were quickly served tortilla chips and salsa, which I could happily make a meal in itself. The... More

We went here at the suggestion of our hotel concierge. What a great experience. Service was terrific. Margheritas were on special. The food was so cheap and tasted great. I would definitely recommend. Try the guac!

I thought this resturant was very good. Everything was very fresh and the service was fine. It was one of the best Mexican resturants that I have had and I eat alot of Mexican. Would go back here and eat again.

Good typical Mexican fare - We found the wait staff good, timely service, accommodated our move to the patio that made us feel like we were in one of the many food places in Mexico proper. We went at Happy hour, had a pitcher of *excellent* house margaritas, 5 plates of various appetizers, including Ceviche, chimichangas, mini taco's and a... More

We had heard the food was good here. It was pretty much what one would expect. Small restaurant with good home-made food. Could have used more wait staff. We weren't in a rush but we were left waiting for quite awhile. Staff made up for the oversight by bringing us yummy home-made sopapillas! Prices are very reasonable.
