A little restaurant with a charming patio, Frank & Lupe's delivers the best New Mexican influenced food in the Valley. My favorite: Frank's enchilada plate with shredded beef and red sauce. It is a little bit of heaven. Even the rice and beans are exceptional (too often an afterthought in Mexican restaurants). And who doesn't love a sopapilla?!? I can't... More

We love this little place in Old Town. The food is delicious, and the waiters are attentive and make every effort to accommodate your requests to assure your meal and dining experience is pleasant. The indoor dining area can be a little crammed when they are busy, so request a spot in the outdoor dining area in the back and... More

funky little out of the way place in Scottsdale in the 5th Ave district, with a variety of dining options, indoors or outside on the pattio, or for larger parties, rooms can be rented for a more intimate experience. The food was typically southwest mexican, and the salsa was delicious!

We go to Scottsdale every year and this is a must, when ever we are there. The food is great we love sitting on the back patio. The way the fence is you can not see the outside neighborhood, so you feel like you are in the middle of Mexico. Very reasonably priced. You will not be disappointed.

We recently visited Frank & Lupe's Old Mexico when visiting Scottsdale. From the outside it looks like its been there for a long time and has a good repeat customer clientele. We had a good size group (6 adults and 4 kids raging in age 10 months to 10 years). We were seated right away and had a very nice... More

In an expensive chi-chi district but has that neighborhood family restaurant feel. The casual outdoor seating with misters makes for a pleasant evening. Great big margaritas. Good service and nobody rushes you.  Food is midrange ok, somewhat Americanized & not very spicy but solid selection.

There are a lot of expensive places to eat in Scottsdale, but Frank and Lupe's is not one. For $10 or under you can get a decent meal of Mexican food. Its not the best I ever had, but for what I paid for my dinner, I was happy. It was a little hard to find at first, but we... More

Friendly place, good old hole-in-the-wall feel, but close to downtown Scottsdale and old town. I had the combonation plate (crispy taco, tamale, cheeze enchilada, beans and rice. Food was good, not great. The chile was pan cooked instead of fire roasted, for me, the extra step of properly roasting chiles is simply required to gain an excellent rating. The combo... More

We used to love Frank and Lupe's, but it appears that with time as their success grew, the establishment deteriorated to relative mediocrity. Their reputation proceeds them, so anticipate a half an hour plus wait for a table on arrival at the dinner hour welcomed by the rudest of rude hostesses. In summation: over time the food has become simply... More

Just finished dinner here. Previous reviews about the great salsa and fresh tortilla chips were all right. Great flavour. There was no line up even though it was Friday night and service was quick. Had the chicken mole enchiladas which had just the right amount of spice. Enough on the plates that we had no room for dessert. Definitely a... More
