Worth seeking out

Probably one of the best meals we've had in the last 10 years here in Arizona. Restaurant is a little off the beaten path, compared to downtown Scottsdale, but definitely worth seeking out. It was my wife's birthday and we wanted something special - we got it. Started off splitting the caprese... read more

Probably one of the best meals we've had in the last 10 years here in Arizona. Restaurant is a little off the beaten path, compared to downtown Scottsdale, but definitely worth seeking out. It was my wife's birthday and we wanted something special - we got it. Started off splitting the caprese appetizer, which was superb with imported buffalo mozzarella.... More

We are a pair of Snowbirds - 1,500 miles from our frozen home back in the Midwest. We're far from home and it is Valentines day -- and although we've been married for over 30 years we still enjoy our Date Nights - especially when it's Valentines Day. We needed to find a quiet, romantic spot with great food and... More

This was a hunch. Checking TA, we saw the good reviews and bypassed a Thai meal to try an Italian meal. What a good choice! The owner took care of us along with the daughter of the chef. We started with a fine bottle of Maculan Chardonnay. Excellent choice. Then we split the Burrata. That was the owners recommendation, and... More

We eat gluten free + Paleo. Always worry a little about Italian restaurants. This was a top contender for best restaurant during our recent visit to Scottsdale. Family run w/excellence and high expectations - my sister got a delicious cocktail - something w/tequilla. We all had top notch salads, some soup, and a delicious portion of meat. Although in a... This is one of our favorite neighborhood haunts. Yes, in a strip mall, but you are in ARIZONA. The food is so good, our teens ask for it. The hospitality is wonderful. Please do not go, as us locals will have to compete with the visitors!!! Really, worth it, the food, the heart, the soul. Bon apetito!

Two visits to Casa Mia - great food both times. Pasta specials were delicious, but be warned, portions are huge! Extraordinary service, especially from Hera. We'll go back. . .

This a restaurant with modern decor and a traditional Italian menu. We shared the calamari fritti to start and followed with veal pizzaiolo and gnocchi. All was good. Excellent bread. With 2 glasses of wine and tip just over $105. Okay service....I think we were the only tourists in attendance.

Great Italian restaurant on the east side of Scottsdale. This is owned and operated by a family; Dad and Mom cook, while at least one son serves, though there are multiple other employees in the kitchen and serving customers. Terrific food and nice wine list. I've been there a couple of times and have not been disappointed. Pricey....

Ex-New Yorkers are always searching for the perfect bagel or perfect pizza or perfect Italian restaurant - and always bemoaning the fact that no one west of New Jersey knows bread or red sauce. Ok, I admit it - that's me and I apologize for being so parochial. But finally I found a place that meets my standards. My husband... More

We dined at Casa Mia when we last visited Scottsdale 3 years ago. Since then the restaurant has relocated to a corner of the shopping center with the other surviving businesses. The new decor does not have the old Italian influence and was disappointing. However, the food and service were just as great as before and more then made up... More
