Recommended by friends specifically for the Stetson Chopped Salad if nothing else and worth the venture for that alone. With that said, Cowboy Ciao's Chicken-Fried Trout entrée has become both a gastronomique favourite and go-to item unto itself as well as the Exotic Mushroom Pan Fry. Plenty of other worthwhile dishes, but the aforementioned favourites always stand out. Unfortunate though... More

We came here after a long day of traveling and felt like we were judged for not ordering drinks and expensive apps. We shared 4 small plates and had very mediocre service. The food was worth it!

Food quality was good but some items did not quite gel. Cheese plate has a good mix of interesting cheeses but came without adequate crackers. There were numerous items with fennel pollen, including dessert meringues. Flavor was OK but meringues were overly chewy inside.

Our menu was planned by Nancy and it was fabulous. Great care was taken for our room set up, menu and wine prep. I think my team is still talking about the mushroom dish and the amazing chopped salad. The attention to detail was spectacular. Nancy also hosted our event and added her wonderful sense of humor and honest opinions.... More

A friend highly recommended the Stetson Chopped Salad so I tried it. It was so delicious!! Our server recommended a white wine to go with it which was perfect. The service was great, food delicious, wine delightful.....I can't wait to go back!

Discovered this restaurant years ago and is my favorite overall. Can be noisy at times but the buzz is fun. Stetson chopped salad is a must! Everything else is good and I try to mix it up. Good wine flights. Also highly recommend for lunch- steak sandwich is the winner!

My brother recommended this restaurant and it did not disappoint. Went there for dinner and started off with the Stetson Chopped salad, which is awesome! Then, ordered the Filet Mignon, which was probably the best steak I ever had the pleasure of eating. Washed all of it down with a couple of local beers. Overall, the food and service were... More

This place is overrated. The food is just ok, and it borders on odd. The staff varied from scatterbrained (hostess) to rude (server). We arrived ten minutes early, and despite many open tables, we were told that they didn't have our table ready. The bartender kept walking away after each of us ordered. The server was just rude, and was... More

Very different with a unique combination of ingredients. Very good. Good choice of wines. Also try the bread pudding.

Every time I go to Phoenix, dining at Cowboy Ciao is a must. The chopped salad is a must starter. And then the hard part comes, which of the small plates to choose from? The mushroom dish is amazing and then they temp you with unique creations like pastrami cured beef short-ribs. That dish was really good, but a bit... More
