Ciao down.

I've been to this restaurant a couple times. I love the Cowboy Ciao salad. It is so good. Heaven on a plate. I get the salmon option and add avocado. The combination of flavors on one plate is just wonderful.

Quick summary - appetizers and Stetson salad were good but you needed a hack saw to cut the NY steak. I was there on a business dinner and the server was good - recommended a lot of appetizers and the salad which were good. Our entrees left a lot to be desired. We complained about how tough the steak was... More

They have a wide selection of gourmet redneck food. We ordered and sampled 4-5 different entrees and deserts. All excellent in their individual taste focus. Presentations modern. Cucumber cocktail tasty and of reasonable quality but others had mixed reviews of quality. The waiter was outgoing in his menu suggestions, but didn't connect well with dinners. He was more task-oriented, versus... More

The best chopped salad I have ever had. The best salmon I have ever had. My husband loved the pork chops and orders it almost every time. Makes it difficult to recommend any thing else, however, it all has to be good based on the quality of our usual order. The dining room is small and intimate. When we go... More

Nice place but limited menu. A bit overpriced for what you get. Great location in downtown Scottsdale.

Great wine list but strangely organized (price as opposed to grape). Gems: short ribs, scallops, coffee drink. Average streak. Salad that everyone raves about was okay as well. Service was odd--almost like he didn't want to be there. Bottom Line: Nothing special. There are much better options in the area.

Based on a recommendation from a friend, I and 2 business associates went to Cowboy Ciao while I was in Phoenix. I was very impressed with the food and service. The Chopped Salad was unlike any salad I have had, with many unique and tasty ingredients. The lamb dish I had was excellent with the lamb arriving as I had... More

We decided to go to Cowboy Ciao to celebrate our 26th anniversary. We had a table by a floor length window, which was neat. They have a wonderful list of summer martinis to try. We loved the one with basil and cucumber. We shared the shrimp and elote appetizer. 5 fresh large shrimp sitting on top of creamy, mildly spicy... More

Creative Menu - a hit - generally well done - try the Stetson Salad. Service was slow; everything was a long wait - despite the empty tables. Drink menu - a miss. They are trying to be creative with their cocktails, however can't do the basics well. I revamp is needed.

We went as a foursome! Wonderful wine list! We ordered appetizers of scallops, prawns and cheese plate. All were really good! Entrée orders were meatloaf, filets and short ribs! No complaints about any of the food! Large portions and delicious side pairings! We all 4 split the oatmeal cookie ice cream! Outstanding! I would give it a 5 star but... More
