great atmosphere, perfect location to old town Scottsdale. the food just wasn't great, very limited menu, I would not go again.
Do not expect to get good Mexican food here. With the exception of the tortilla soup, we were all disappointed with all our dishes. The beef and shrimp were bland and the vegetables were insipid at best. The guacamole was average, no real flavor but at least they used real avocados. The kids chicken tenders were over salted. The black... More
So when you hear the word Tortilla Factory you think excellent Mexican food! Well that was not the case. The Mexican foods to choose from on the menu were limited. They seemed to have more pasta dishes than Mexican and for that it was disappointing. Chips and salsa are a norm at most places, here it was $5.00 extra for... More
I had a gift certificate to use, so took my 84 yr old mom who was visiting from Maine. The margarita was ok, and the food was so so. I used to think they were awesome, but now I probably won't be back. The patio is beautiful outside in the evening. It is very romantic for couples, but with mom,... More
We walked by, and it looked great very popular, so went back next night. We had a margarita while waiting for a table on patio. No one was inside, but had to wait to sit on patio. We had the Carne De Fuego which was good. The food was good, worth the price, but not the best. If you are... More
We enjoyed sitting out on the outdoor patio and the service was very good, The margaritas were perhaps a little overpriced but they were good. We though it would likely be the typical Mexican menu but it was more of a southwestern theme so we had some interesting dishes to pick from. We all enjoyed our meals but I can't... More
My special Margarita was great, everyone else accept the lady that ordered a Raspberry one were happy. The chips and Guacamole were very good; salsa was not good at all! I and one friend had the Pollo Margarita and were both very disappointed in the whole meal; no flavor to the chicken and some potato thing was horrible. My husband... More
On a recent visit we were told to have a meal at the Old Town Tortilla Factory. We are glad we did. We dined on the outdoor patio and with a chill in the air, the server fired up the outdoor heater near out table. That made the meal even more enjoyable. The patio lights came on the environment was... More
The view was beautiful, but the food was just ok. We had the Chorizo Fundido. It was pretty bland and barely warm. My husband ordered the shrimp tacos. He enjoyed his dinner. I had the Mahi Mahi tacos. The fish or the tortilla had a burnt flavor that 3 beers could not take away. I would not return for the... More
I know that this is an institution in Scottsdale but I really did not find it to be anything special. The margaritas were good but certainly not worth the high prices. The food was solid but also not equivalent to the pricing. The tortillas are good but spending over $130 for three people did not seem quite worth it.
