Great malts and floats

We stopped here during a cross country bicycle ride. My friend had a malt and I had a root beer float. Generous ice cream portions, decent prices for a tourist area, and it was quite good. If you need a sugar fix after dinner, drop by here.

On my recent visit to Scottsdale, I stopped at the Sugar Bowl after an eleven year absence. It was basically the same except a little worn. The pinks weren't as pink, and if you have been here, you know about the color pink! The decor was the same. Same pictures, same knick-knacks, fake flowers. The young man behind the counter... More

Stopped here on a Saturday night after dinner at Barrio Queen. The food there was a little spicy and we needed to cool our mouths and get a sweet treat. The decor is old school with pink chairs and tables. There's a bar with old fashioned sodas. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because they didn't have... More

We just stumbled across this place but I will recommend it to everyone I know who is headed that way. I even took pictures of the inside it's so cute. The worst part was trying to decide which ice cream to have, it was all great and the other diners food looked and smelled great too!

While shopping through Old Town, it can get hot. Stopped in to enjoy a cold treat. The place was packed! We decided to get cones to go. The place was all decorated in pink very 50's looking. Staff were nice. Once out of the shop we found a bench to sit and eat. We were asked several times where we... More

The resort we stayed at recommended the Sugar Bowl, so my son & I stopped in for dinner. It is such a fun place & has a great vibe. We sat in the very pink back room by the games..it reminded me of a great 50s restaurant. And, the menu (fun, simple sandwiches) reminded me of what I used to... More

Visited yesterday and it was not pleasant! Smelled of vomit! The mops and cloths should be thrown away and a Professional Clean is needed! It's always been a little grubby and sticky and I have tolerated it as I guess it's run mainly by kids, who have have not been trained properly. Time for a clean up Sugar Bowl! I... More

Stopped in to kill some time before the ballgame. Had a root beer float and wife had a dish of ice cream. 1950's appearance inside, pink walls with a long soda counter and stools. Worth a visit.

We visited twice during our trip--ice cream only--and loved it. My son ordered a cream puff filled with vanilla ice dream and topped with hot fudge. Unbelievable. I'm watching my weight and am pleased to report that both the raspberry and orange sherbets were so good that I didn't feel like I was missing out.

I always go here when I go to Scottsdale. Kids love it but we took friends this time and they loved it too. Sit at the counter and order a tin roof sundae and you will agree.
