Mexican restaurant

Nice Mexican food ... Traditional Mexican huge portions. Not the best place but not bad option if you are around the Scottsdale downtown.

The food was average for Mexican food. Salsas were either bland or rather smoky and very spicy. The chips were nice and light and crispy. The guacamole was tasty but needed some spice. My husband had a sampler of deep fried things. I had chicken enchiladas. The chicken was good but enchilada sauce average. I will say that our waitress... More

If you want ok food, minimal attention from the waitstaff and a bar with kids in it than this is the place to go. Furthermore, if you want any of the above issues resolved than don't expect the Managers to "get back to you" as they said they would. In a nut shell, there are other Mexican Restaurants out there,... More

We have eaten at Los Olivos on several occasions and have always had excellent food and drink. The atmosphere is amazing, the food very good, and the service excellent. In an era when many Mexican restaurants are trying to be upscale and expensive, it is refreshing to find one that sticks to its roots and serves people good food at... More

We had visited Los Olivos many years ago and were pleased that it is still in business. The chips and salsa were very good, as was the margarita. Plenty of food for the price and attentive service.

Most Expensive Mexican this Southerner has ever had (on my dime):: $100+ for 2. I was all set to try The Mission, but my companion won the coin toss. Cadillac Margarita $10 (no prices on drink menu) was served in a small restaurant-quality wine glass. 1st $10 Margarita I've had, & not served in an appropriate glass was puzzling. The... More

We went around 3pm on a Tuesday, between lunch and dinner. There weren't more than four other tables there at the time, but I imagine it gets busy for the dinner hours! We both ordered the first item on the lunch menu, a taco and an enchilada, and had three beers between us, and spent about $40. The food was... More

Sure, it's a bit outdated, but the service can't be beat and the is flull of flavor. I was able to get Pico de gallo with the chips for appetizer, not always available in many restaurants. . . We found a wide variety of choices and everyone at our table had a different entree. We all felt it was well... More
