J&G is a pricy steakhouse but it isn't to par. To me, an average steak house visitor, it was just average. The cuts of meat are ok but the taste was subpar. We shared a porterhouse and I've had better porterhouses at restaurants in the valley for half the price. The waiter was great and informative but the menu and... More

I was very pleasantly surprised by this on site steakhouse. My expectations were not very high, as I expected that being a hotel, even a resort, restaurant would mean that it could get by with mediocre. But it wasn't, neither the service or the quality of the meat. Both were several notches above where I would have expected. It was,... More

We were there in early December for 4 days. L &G Steakhouse is supposed to be main restaurant of this landmark resort in Scottsdale. We called for reservations the second night of our stay and requested a table for 7:30 PM. We were told that they could not accommodate us until 8 or 8:15. So we showed up at 8... More

We tried the tasting menu and we were not disappointed. It was a great way to sample some key dishes and were completely full when we were done. The panoramic view of the city was amazing from our table as well.

My family took me to J&G for my birthday dinner - they couldn't have picked a better place. The servers were very friendly and extremely knowledgable about everything on the menu and wine list. It was fun just listening to them describe the food and how it was prepared. We followed their recommendations on just about everything and we were... More

Expensive but delicious. We shared some apps but left room for steak and sides....all good; very well serviced in a gracious setting at the Phoenician.

J&G Steakhouse was wonderful, the staff were very nice and they were always there if you needed anything. The steakhouse has a patio with scenic views of the city horizon. The food was very good, there stakes are definitely worth ordering. The stake(s) come with 3 different stake sauces, I found each one to be extremely delicious! Their seafood is... More

Ordering the tasting menu promptly unleashed a rushed service of the four courses along with wine pairing that was equally hurried. However, first of all we were unable to read the menu as our table was in darkness due to thejplacement of the table uner recessed lighting. No effort was made to assist us with the lighting issue. Food was... More

We dined here as guests, the reservations having been made by out-of-towners who based their selection on a variety of reviews. As locals, we would not return. The food was fine--a very nice selection of steaks, plus chicken and fish. Salads were probably resort-guest friendly, as there was nothing that spoke of creativity. Side dishes were similarly "safe". The wine... More

We enjoyed the bone in fillet and it was excellent. Others had Grouper...very good. The service and atmosphere great. Have dinner in the evening when the sun is setting and bring a camera....beautiful view.
