Old Town Scottsdale’s heart is beating to a Latin drum, now that The Mission has arrived and brightened the restaurant scene. Renowned Zinc Bistro Chef Matt Carter is now cooking up modern Latin cuisine blending influences from Spain, Mexico, Central America and South America. Home made Tortillas, Arepas, and Salsas are made fresh daily and all meats are prepared on a Plancha or a grill using pecan and mesquite wood that instills a rich flavor.

July in Scottsdale with 100+ temperatures, this was the only restaurant we went to that was jam packed with people. Tableside guacamole was excellent, as was the service. The food was tasty, although a bit too saucy.

I only dropped in for a sampler as part of a food tour, but the salsas were amazing. Beware of the ghost pepper salsa! I love spicy & even I had to down a whole drink to handle a bit of it. Definitely left me inspired for a return visit.

We had a wonderful dinner with out-of-state friends. Although the restaurant was dark - took a while for our eyes to adjust....and we used our phone lights to read the menu. Aside from that one thing, our meal was amazing! The skirt steak tacos, street corn and guacamole was so delicious! My husband had the braised pork entree and is... More

This was my favorite restaurant we ate at during this trip. I loved the food they served. My friend and I, a carnivore and a vegetarian, both loved our tacos we ordered. When they arrived we thought they looked small, but they were so tasty that it didn't matter one bit. The table side guacamole was awesome and must try.... More

We've been here a handful of times, and always have a wonderful meal and good service. Last night was no exception. July in Scottsdale is HOT. But the dining room was crowded and noisey, so we checked out the back patio. They had a huge misting fan back there, and the temperature was quite comfortable, so that's where we ate.... More

We visited here while on a business trip based on reviews and recommendations. It definitely did not disappoint. The food and drinks are a bit pricey, but worth it, and the atmosphere is top notch.

We asked for recommendation for best Mexican. This was not it. Did not meet the hype. High end restaurants do not blast music, which was not relevant to Mexico or match the lovely decor . We did request music to be toned down. Response , "Corporate " says this is what the people want. The guacamole was good as well... More

A very high end restaurant. Although food and drinks were good, the Margaritas were outrageously priced for a very small glass ($14 US - $18 Can). The glasses were what you get hiballs in, not even margarita glasses. The guacamole made at your table is to die for. It would have to be a very special occasion before I return... More

Good ol' Trip Advisor....it never lets us down! Traipsing around Old Town Scottsdale on a Sunday afternoon our heads are spinning at the choices of places to eat. Bring out the Trip Advisor App...."where is the closest, best rated restaurant to us"....and there it is.....The Mission! We felt great vibes from the start! The facade looks great, and in keeping...
