The Mission has been a regular favorite. The problem with being so good is you are held to higher standards. We had two orders of the pork shoulder tacos and were told this was the best thing on the menu because the meat was tender and slow roasted for 12 hours. Upon arrival to the table, the server was shocked... More

Excellent! We were seated outside and we really enjoyed that. It was quieter, the fans kept us very comfortable and the lighting was better than dining inside. The food was outstanding. We were so glad we tried The Mission.

We decided to venture "off campus" while staying at The Phoenician and The Mission came highly recommended. We ended up on the back patio which was comfortable despite the heat! Service was amazing and the food was fantastic. We opted for the table-side guac (obvs) and an array of tacos. My husband and I are taco lovers and we both... More

Heard great things about the Mission Restaurant in Old Town Scottsdale. We visited Old Town on 9/4/14 and while there decided to have lunch at the Mission. What a great decision. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and promptly seated at a table. Angel our server introduced himself and we instantly thought what a great decision this was to eat... More

My husband and I are from California and were visiting Scottsdale. We discussed dinner and I recommended that Scottsdale would have great Southwestern cuisine. I suggested Old Town and looked to Yelp for a local favorite. The Mission had great reviews but looking back, I wish we would've passed. We were hungry and the hostess said we had to seat... More

One of the best experiences I have ever had at a Mexican restaurant. The chips and salsa hit the spot. The salsa was so good that my wife and I bought a bottle of it. The place is known for its pork dishes so definitely try the pork tacos. They were seasoned perfectly. The waitstaff was great as well. It's... More

Had a business dinner at the Mission, really cool place, equally great for any event, very attentive staff and really top shelve selection from the bar, a great range of premium tequilas and very reasonable wine by the glass. We ordered the table guacamole and it was great, the fillet was perfectly cooked and a really different presentation. Cannot wait... More

As soo as we walked in we loved the decor. It's very dark in the restaurant though. The salsas were great get the sangria! I had the short ribs and it was delicious. Get the corn.. Yummy. Girls had grouper and loved it. All seemed great. Big. Portions. Reasonably priced.

We live in Scottsdale, AZ for 8-9 months each year. We go to The Mission at least once a month. It is an upscale Mexican restaurant. The setting is beautiful. There is indoor and outdoor dining. Lots of ambiance. Food is well plated; tastes as good as it looks and service is excellent. Highly recommend The Mission
