The restaurant is nice. It is modern, with low lighting and something reminding the restaurants appearing in Q. Tarantino films. It was full when the streets were looking empty. The food (mainly Mexican) was good. My meat was tender and plenty of flavor. On the other side, portions are not big what makes prices a little bit too high.

This was an all-around good dining experience. We didn't have a reservation but they fit us in right around 6p. The décor is very comfortable. The staff are very nice and know the menu well. The table-prepared guacamole is excellent; the elote is even better. The mahi tacos are also excellent but the chorizo porchetta is what you want to... More

The Mission was highly recommended by our hotel ,and as it was our last evening in Scottsdale we decided to give it a try. The tables were too close together, it was too dark and noisy. As for the food - the guacamole prepared at your table was amazing. It was prepared very efficiently with fresh ingredients. After that it... More

A must go in Scottsdale. Awesome Mexican food. Always start with a Guacamole. Prepared and served at your table. Have a margarita with it. There is nothing much to say. Very good service, perfect food, nice location, reasonable prices. Reservation is highly recommended. Even on weekdays.

The Mission's food and service never disappoints. It's the one restaurant where I could close my eyes and point at anything on the menu and be confident it was going to be delicious. I love going here for dinner on special occasions, or brunch on any given Sunday. The restaurant itself is beautiful -- sexy lighting and vibrant music that... More

Absolutely lives up to its fantastic reputation. The 6 of us were all impressed at the service, atmosphere and amazing food. We were made welcome and looked after with humour and speed. The servings are generous and every meal met with praise Happy to recommend

What a gem in Old Scottsdale. I thought I'd had good Mexican food until I'd eaten here. The best fish tacos I've ever had. Crispy, crunchy, and amazing flavour. They make margaritas the way they were meant to be - no slush here. The table-side guacamole was a tad over-salted, but that's the only negative criticism I have. Service was... More

On a Friday night without reservations we showed up with 9 people. Fortunately for us there was room on the back patio. So happy to be outside in a lovely courtyard. Inside seating was nice too, but it was a gorgeous night and the courtyard was perfect. The service was amazing, very attentive. We were celebrating a bachelorette party the... More

Service was superb. We started in the front patio and they moved an awning for us, then we found there was more shade in the back, so we went there. Extended menu, good food. I am not a fan of pressed coffee but that is all they had, so that is what I had.

We visited The Mission restaurant for the 3rd time last night, and each time the place has diminished, in our estimation, and so we will probably not go there again. There's pretentious-hip air to the place, tables are too close, room echoes noises and voices, food (except for salads) comes in small portions and, frankly, the fancy tacos were hardly... More
