Old Town Scottsdale’s heart is beating to a Latin drum, now that The Mission has arrived and brightened the restaurant scene. Renowned Zinc Bistro Chef Matt Carter is now cooking up modern Latin cuisine blending influences from Spain, Mexico, Central America and South America. Say yes to tableside guacamole!

My husband and I stopped here while having a quick visit to old town Scottsdale and were very pleased that we stopped in! We wanted good Mexican food without the tourist cheese factor. It was fantastic! The Primarita is a must for a good margarita and the micheladas are great too. We got the... read more

This place is somewhere everyone should go while in Scottsdale. One of the walls is made from all salt, a fun mix of lots of looks and lots of crosses. Try the guacamole it's really good

Great location next to the historical Mission in Old Town Scottsdale. The atmosphere was electric - dim lights, latin music, a great place for couples, girls nights/guys nights. We brought our kids (not recommended as their menu is for complex tastes) after a long day in the car. They were tired and hungry. We waited over 20 minutes for water... More

Food and margaritas were amazing. Table side guac was very, very good and the entrees/sides were well done. Never had such good corn! Not a foodie but I'll eat here any day of the week. Great spot.

We ate here because everyone we know recommended it. It didn't disappoint. Great atmosphere. Food & drinks were great. Highly recommend.

Great atmosphere and good food. However, with that said, I felt like the portions were disproportionately small based on the prices. Same goes with the cocktails...our's were a bit on the weak side for the price.

The Mission is a really cool little spot in Old Town. It is a trendy upscale New Mexican restaurant with a focus on specialty cocktails. The have a great table side guacamole and some really interesting dishes. My wife and I shared the pork tacos, which were a perfect size for 2. They were delicious!! The ambiance here is very... Went here for an early dinner, first eve, in Sc-dale. Enjoyed a cold beer, and "tableside guacamole" which was good. Followed by the waiter recommended Tostadas. All was good, as was indicated by the TA ranking this restaurant enjoys.

I've eaten here a few times, but never got around to writing a review. Well, this place is just great. I decided to get something other than the tacos (which are fantastic), so I tried the Prime Flat Iron Steak. It was one of the best steaks I have ever eaten (and I'm including high-end steak houses). Perfectly cooked medium... More

The mission provides a very nice take on latin american fusion food - ranging from tacos to a variety of interesting dishes cooked "a la plancha" or "a la parilla".
