Modern Mexican food

We enjoyed our visit to Blanco's. The ambience is modern and fun. The menu is distinctly different from normal Mexican restaurants. For example, the enchiladas are layered like a lasagna. Everything was very tasty and our waitress was great.

Usually order the mex chopped salad or variation of, but the other "Sonoma fresh" choices also good. The attentive young staff emphasize meal freshness, plates are attractively presented. Lunch and early dinner are a comfortable mix of age & generations. Late afternoon small plate & bar menu a great value. Attractive contemporary decor, small patio but the main room opens... More

We loved this restaurant. The first time I got the Mexican chopped salad. Wonderful but with a lot of dressing. The second time I went I got the same salad with dressing on the side and used about half of it. The third time I got the fish tacos and they were also great. A good casual restaurant and not... We tried this restaurant as an alternative to Sumo Maya which was loud, loud, loud, and hard to get a reservation at a decent hour. Blanco had a 20-minute wait but we spent that at the bar. Outside dining was pleasant, as was our waiter, Brenden. Enjoyed the guacamole and queso appetizers but the green chili pork enchilada was standout.... More

I've visited this restaurant the last time I was in Scottsdale last winter and enjoyed so much, I thought I'd return. This time I was flying solo so I ended up sitting at the bar and watch some sports. The staff was extremely friendly, the tacos were tasty (especially the short rib taco). I also had the corn which was... More

I have celiacs and they made me chips in separate frier, which rarely happens. Big fan of the willingness to do this. Great service. Food was good too.

We went on a Sat night. The place was crowded and loud. It was hard to visit with our guests. The food was OK...not as good as we had remembered it being. I think our timing was not good for such a popular place...we'll go earlier next time.

We went last night 4-20 and once we got past the unfriendly hostess who seated us without a smile, the evening was fine. First impressions are very hard to get past, but our waitress Cassidy made up for the evening. We had beer and a very good margarita. we also had queso fundido which was very good and sometimes hard... More

Us coming from Texas loved this restaurant as it's not your tex mex food that you see everywhere here. It was a refreshing and delicious change. I had the short rib tacos which were amazing with black beans (you have the option of charro beans also) and rice which was white with corn. I also had the grilled corn which... More

Had dinner here and was not impressed. The food was mediocre and the service was so-so. Order a feajeta and it came without peppers, which was the first ingrediate on the menu. My bar drink had an unusual flavor, which they offered to replace but said it is the way they serve it. Not terrible, but not my cup of... More
