First of all I have never been to a Mastros and been disappointed! City Hall location in Scottsdale was no exception. Great food and service. The Skinny Marguerita is my absolute favorite.

My friends and family went there over Thanksgiving vacation. We were a large crew and they were able to give us a semi-private room which was great since we had a large party with lots of noisy children. The food, like all Mastros, is to die for. The butter cake is something that I often dream about! You must also... More

If price is not a consideration it's a definite recommendation! For those more budget minded travelers, this may not be the place for you. To help you decide on whether to dine at Mastro's, here's a breakdown for 2 diners who visited on Dec 17, 2014 - 2 pre-meal cocktails: $27 (my bourbon old fashioned was a good one) Appetizer... We've been to other mastros restaurants in both Scottsdale and Newport Beach so we were excited to take a good friend from out of to a special place. The sward fish was dry, the creamed spinach slimy and the oysters Rockefeller just average. When you pay these prices you expect the best. Hope this was an off night but other... More

Had a drink at the bar to start. Good service and great drinks. Moved to a table in the "piano room" aka the bar. VERY loud with the music playing. Hard to keep a conversation. Starter of lobster salad was excellent. A good wine list especially if you like $100+ California Cabs. Steak was WAY underdone, so sent back. I... More

I recently visited Scottsdale Fashion Square and wanted a great place to dine. Mastros happened to be across the street and I was able to get a table right away without reservation. The servers were friendly. The basket of bread served was so warm and full of variety. I ordered the double pork chop (served with an awesome sauce) with... More

We love our steak, and love to eat in high end steak houses. Ruth Chris, Morton's, Hy's, Gotham's, Gibby's. etc... This was by far one of the best steaks! Yes, it is pricey, ($35. for the side of lobster mashed potatoes) but it sure was a treat. We also had the side of Brussels sprouts, creamed spinach, and green beans,... More

I am baffled by all the hype about this restaurant. The ambiance is pretty enough, although be sure to bring a flashlight to read the menu as it's unusually dark. The tables are really close together so don't plan on any private conversation. The menu offers no explanation about any of the dishes; be prepared to ask lots of questions.... More

This has been my favorite restaurant for years, can't find a better steak in the world IMO. Love all the Mastro's restaurants but this is my favorite location, great bartenders and staff.
