Just good food!

Went there with friends some time ago and had an enjoyable time. The food was good, the owner came over and introduced himself. Service was good also. The owner overheard us discussing his Eggplant Parmesan, which none of us had ordered, and he brought over a sample for the table to share. That... read more

As soon as we entered, the wonderful wood oven aromas told us this was going to be a great dining experience. The six of us each enjoyed a different kind of pizza, and we were happy with our personal choices. All of the staff were very friendly, and our waitress was exceptionally polite, knowledgeable, and pleasant. She helped make our... More

A small, cozy restaurant in a strip mall (near Nickel's Diner) with a small outdoor seating area in the front of the restaurant. Wonderful, caring, friendly service - we had the Caprese - simply delicious - and a super-thin crust pizza that was to die for!

Simple, pleasant ambiance. Good food, good service. But it is the lunch special that is really something to talk about. Salad, pizza and drink for $8.00--I could eat lunch at Nonna Vivi's several times a week!!

Dinner at Nonna Vivi Wood Oven Pizzeria was the best part of our stay in Rio Rico. Our waitress was extremely polite, friendly and helpful as she explained the different dishes and types of pizza offered here. My husband ordered a 12" thin crust pizza topped with caramelized onions and I had a 9" thicker crust margarita pizza. Both pizzas... More

We had heard good things about this place, particularly that it used a wood- fired oven, so we decided to try a 'take out' pizza one night when I got home too late to cook myself. This place is very close to where we live, & located in a shopping plaza I frequent. The restaurant itself looks very inviting, with... More

The pizzas are so tasty and one of a kind. The chicken artichokes pasta dish was very good, a little messy. I felt the restaurant is small and compacted. We started out with some sort Greek balsamic salad it was fresh and the dressing was not over whelming. Great place for dinner and lunch!

We only had pizza here but I can say it was absolutely the best! We ordered ricotta stuffed crust, fresh tomatoes, mozzarella and basil pizza. Yum! The thickness of the crust, the fresh ricotta taste was amazing. I think of this place all the time. I've not found anything even close to the same quality.

After having an unpleasant experience at another Italian restaurant nearby (Melio's - Tubac), this was like a breath of fresh air. The staff was cordial, service and food were outstanding. We split a Greek salad. The produce was fresh and the balsamic dressing was good. I ordered the Celeste, a rigatoni pasta in a light gorgonzola sauce with sweet Italian... More

My wife ordered the pasta dish that was listed as having kalamata olives, artichokes, and chicken. What showed up was pasta covered with green glop that looked like it came out of a blender. No visible chicken, olives, etc. Service was very slow throughout the meal.
