Arrived at 5:30 pm on Wed during happy hour (4-6pm, Mon-Thurs). Excellent service and excellent tapas. I ate in the outdoor (heat lamps) section. Most of the selections are tapas and I highly recommend the fried (lightly) avocado dish. The Sangria is very good. Service is always high on my list and was outstanding. Definitely returning.

There was a really large menu of small plates (papas). We were ready to order 7 or 8 for 4 people when our server recommended trying 4 or 5 first. She was absolutely correct in recognizing that the 5 we ordered would be adequate. The food was terrific and we had a bottle of very good wine as well. The... More

With live music, an evening out at El Gato was complemented by the server's knowledge, not only of the extensive tapas menu, but by a sense of 'flow' for the meal-- the flavors and timing were perfectly coordinated. A rare talent!

A group of us met at El Gato Azul for lunch. I'd read all the wonderful reviews and was excited to try it for the first time. It wasn't anything special, but I suspect that our mistake was trying the wrong things. The lunch salads were fine, but nothing extraordinary. The service was indifferent, not bad, just not really good.... More

Over eighty items are listed on the tapas menu. We shared several plates and had eleven hits and only one miss. Plates, advertised as small, were of medium size. Two plates would feed a normal appetite. Limited seating inside, but outdoor seating by a active creek. Live music many evenings... Expect lots of patrons.

Tucked beneath a grove of tall cottonwoods next to Granite Creek, El Gato Azul serves inspired food. If you haven't figured out that it's just another burger and pasta shop owned by someone in another state and operated by a manager who's just there to collect a paycheck simply by looking at the outside, you will when you step through... Stopped in here for dinner after a day out hiking and wasn't disappointed. The place is a bit small but I feel that adds to the charm because as soon as you walk in, the kitchen is right there and it makes you feel like you are at a friends. The lighting was dim but not dark and the walls... More

A small place off Goodwin Street with tapas style menu. There are many choice and while were better than others we will return to savor more dishes. Smoked Salmon Pizza was outstanding. Escargot was rich and flavorful, however, my crostini was soaked in garlic butter. Serving it on the side would resolve that issue. Brie dish was a little sweet... More

Love the coconut shrimp, fried artichokes, bean patties, cucumber salad and goat cheese specialties. Kids loved the Mac n cheese and other pasta options. A must when visiting Prescott.
